... but just because people like doing something doesn't mean it's a fit subject for a photograph. I don't know about anybody else but a little girl clutching an automatic weapon is obscene and offensive to me. The quasi moralists go beserk in here if a parent shows a kid in a bath or modestly naked on a beach etc ... where are they now when a child has a murder weapon in her hand? And what on Earth are you trying to say with this shot? I think it should be removed.

This is an excellent portrait ... the pose, the lighting, the neutral background ... and you've captured her spirit. Well done! More please!

Well I dunno about anyone else but I think this is a truly amazing photo. All the elements are here ... and the timing of this shot is perfect The sunset would have been enough ... and so would the breaking wave ... but then there's the model as well! Congratulations on a classic photograph!

Good shot ... nice sunset, and the jetties add immense visual interest. You need to straighten the horizon (it was 1.35 degrees low on the left. I upped the saturation and darkened the pic a bit just to show you some possibilities. Sunsets are a dime a dozen on PN and you need to be on the ball to be in the race with this subject. I started off in here with a few "naked" sunsets like this one of yours but then noticed lots and lots of others were manipulated as I have demonstrated here.
Hope this is helpful. Keep 'em coming.

Technically I guess you might be a bit "in the middle" with this shot ... which usually invites comments from the PN crew ... more space in front of the subject and less behind her might be the go. Apart from that I think it is an extremely good capture. The body language ... the hesitancy to move forward whilst feeling the wall for security ... this photo tells a whole story. It's an archetypal kid shot and is a winner IMHO. I give it 6/6 Good stuff!

Illuminating in fact. 7/7

As a kids' shot it's brilliant ... the pose, the emotion, the composition, the stark lighting ... and black and white absolutely makes it. This photo will live in this family forever. Congratulations.
PS: Maybe a smidge of a crop to tighten it up???

This is a powerful portrait! A magical soul capture that deals with the naked child taboo wondrously. The enigma of the completely vulnerable yet totally in control subject is beautifully represented here. Natural, uncluttered, masterfully shot and cropped. And the choice of black and white even empowers it more.
Congratulations. 7/7 from me.

... and might I say you have a talent for the live performance shot. You can come to Australia and phtograph us on stage any time you like! Keep up the good work.

... good job with the background ... a bit of a crop wouldn't go astray.

... a clone and a crop and a bit of a sharpen (see attached. The horizon is actually a building line ... it looks fine ... if you tip it ... you tip the buildings. Good shot anyway ... keep 'em coming!

I like the photo too ... but I think it would have been better framed if cropped more at the left ... plus less foreground and more sky. I've faked one up on PS attached. Great shot though!

It's a nicely composed shot ... although I think her feet look a little awkward and she seems a tad uneasy. Also I'd be inclined to crop ... less being more. I'm attaching a crop I tried. See what you think. Your portfolio looks promising.

... but I'd PS a bit of the catchlight out of her left eye. A simple job which I think would help.
