  1. Thank you all for the helpful commnts..

C P Goerz, you made me swiched my choice to 8x20, sice I was ready to buy the 7x17 Canham camera, but could you tell me if its ok to develop that big size (8x20) in a tubes? Becase what I heared that tube development for this big size will end up with an uneven development!

  2. Do you (Ulf panoramic) people out there know of someone who sell special made

developing trays for 7x17? if not! would you guys tell me if it is ok to

make developing trays out of fiber glass smothed with a gell coating?

  3. for guys who have experiance using 7x17 camera. I am planning on buying a

Canham 7x17 camera.. but I got to find the lens for it to know the price I am

paying for this gurney. what I am looking for is a lens (between $400-$600).

since I am doing contact printing sharpness is not an issue, but the lens

should at least be single coted, and the focus has to be from corner to corner.

    thank you in advace-- nasser

  4. one day I have this ??? going over my head! why would someone choose an 8x20

camera over 7x17? if we study the difference between the 2, its the mater

of a 35% of a different format film in size. you would save a lot of

money ,space and weight to use 7x17 over the giant 8x20! I sketched 2 frames

on a board one with 7x17 and the other with 8x20... no big different, I

didn't do the woooow!! for the 8x20!

You got to do the wooow! to sacrifice money, space and weight!

  5. I visited Wisner homepage to look for 7x17 view camera, so I found the

expensive one and the cheap one, the last which is the conventional 7x17 from

    a 5x7 camera.

well!! what is the deferent between the two, what are the things that I would

miss if I buy the conventional rather than the original one? please help!

  6. I finally make my choice by going to those architectural model making and gave them the design. You can see a lot of cutting machines that would work to the micron size simply without a hassle.. they are just great. They put tow plastic pieces in the center of the holder on both sides. The negative slips easily. What I like about those guys who made me the work is the accuracy they have.
  7. I would like an advice of a way how to get an 4x10 back for my 8x10

Tachihara view camera, I just like the proportion of the 7x17 and

8x20 ULF, but cant go for that because I do palladium printing and

it cost too much money, experience, and film availability for those

big guys to keep me running my prints!! So I choose for my self to

just cut my 8x10 film in half and go for the nice panoramic view. I

tried to contact Tachihara inc. to custom make 4x10 reducing back

but I couldn't get to know there phone of address. Please help!!
