I like the mischief spirit (in the best of positive sense like childs asking good questions that adults would not like them to ask) one must have to get such a picture that associate the bubles with the dress white points...a wonderful spontaneity you capture here Markku...
-
your title made me laugh...but even without the title it's interesting how the brain immediately connects the strongest color in this composition as if a natural line existed betwen the two...
-
the flag movement blurr really make it special and live...we experience the wind and almost hear it...the brain association power is put to contribution....
it's a long time I did not visit your portofolio but it's a pleasure to look at the precision and dedication...I'll continue the tour...

I like how the two squares (window on the floor and laptop ad) seem to respond to each other...I remember having said it on another image (precisely on Rose for a Lady) but I find interesting how the frame extends the image graphically...the precise choice of color being essential for the graphical effect...

This is a repost (in color), currently doing some clean-up of my folders.

thanks Fred for your comments...a collection of people each with their own style...

A strong image Jeff...one of those that remembers me how lucky I am in my part of the world...

I like the documentary as well as social side of this image Jeff...very nice...exploring the image I enjoyed the presence of the 4th woman in the background with modern clothe...a wonderful addition...

good images implicate the viewer one way or another...here I feel close, let's say within the intimate circle in respect to the distance (physical distance)...and that's why I think it's impossible not to respond to this picture...generally I think shooting topics close to us (be it physically or emotionnaly) often results in good images with more subjectivity and more emotions as the result...

my young son (4.5 years old) is scared of the dark...with the imagination you trigger with these images I can begin to see why....

do you think the wildcat will catch them ?
-
the blue planet is turning grey...I guess it's really time to act....
-
superb shadow image Drew.....both complex and well readable..
-
animated discussions, non verbal language and body expression is really what strikes me in this image Pnina...a very nice documentary...this is what I like in street image is that it captures the people in some moment of being rather than appearing...

thx for viewing and critiques...

the soft light and mist go so well to this serene scene...
-
As a fan of colours I appreciate this image very much Koushik...I prefer your original better than the crop version because I think the evocative nature of this image (supported by the blurr) needs space to breathe...
-
superb light and colors...what a tortuous road I see in the shadow...must be something wonderful to experience such a lanscape...and you transfer this experience to us viewer here...
-
their expression of joy is priceless...I like the warm late light...a superb child image Koushik..thanks for sharing their contagious smile...
-
there is lots of food for the eye from the floor to the ceiling and yet the image is well organized and readable with the window as anchor point...I particularly like the front branches and the dust (at least that how I see it) suspended in the air...the grey mid tone are very rich...a pleasure to look at, abandonned and decaying places have both charm and mystery, probably because it triggers the nostalic chord...probably also the decay-voyeur mood (at least in me)....
-
A superb street capture Pnina...this image really illustrates the power of simplicity for me...
-
As you know, I like social scenes very much...I think I already said it but it's because I like to see people in their environment...this particular image is a bit far away to stand out as a stand alone image but it's a nice complement in a serie because it gives street context and urbanscape...

Pnina....I think the BW suits contemplation (introspection) mood better where color goes more toward documentary...personaly I don't mind the blurr as it is evident we are in low light situation, maybe decreasing further the levels would reinforce the mood and further decrease the focus issue (it's not an issue for me here anyway)...

Light is everyting...this particurlarly mundane scene is really nicely shaped and smoothly invigorated by the light and shadows...it's surprising considering the subject, and that's precisely why I like it..
