John, this is a lovely intimate landscape, and I am always a big fan of working the reflection of the sky into the image as you've done here. There's another image lurking in this one too. Did you consider a square crop of the right 2/3rds of the image? It removes the lower left corner which is perhaps the weakest part of this image and keeps the viewer's eye directed to the pool of water in the upper middle-right. Well seen, captured, and processed. Best wishes, Chris

Stunning image, Sandor. Simple beauty and so well executed. Thank you for sharing! Best wishes, Chris
  5. Todd, among the many fine images in your collection, I particularly am continually drawn to this one. It just glows with light and color. The detail is exquisite. The composition and exposure are simply perfect. A very strong work of art. Bravo! Cheers! Chris
  6. Todd, this is really special. A truly fine-art photograph. The colors, the details (including the spider's webs), the muted background, everything is just so balanced. Wonderfully composed, captured, and processed. Bravo! Inspiring stuff! Cheers! Chris
  7. Daniel, much has been said already about the quality of this image, but I'd like to add my two-cents too. Lovely composition and you've handled the dynamic range perfectly. Truly a "room with a view." I think this could make a very effective black and white image too, have you tried a conversion. Wonderful image, and thank you for sharing with all of us. Very inspiring work. Cheers! Chris
  8. @Brian Murphy--Brian, the Mingus Mill is on the North Carolina side of the park not too far from the Ocanoluftee Visitor Center. I got up before dawn and made my way to the Mill. It was still kind of misty when I made this image. Thanks for stopping by for the visit and your comments. Best wishes!

Gary, I have very much admired this image since you first put it up. This is one of those images that just grabs you. So much to like: the minimalism, the mood, the graphic quality, and so forth. Really good eye to see this one. Well done! Thank you for sharing this exceptional photograph with us. Chris
