Lotus pods are such lovely creations. Interesting the way you have included the backs of all but the featured one. I looked through your portfolio. I think you have an unusual and beautiful of seeing, and you capture that very well with your images. -

Tony, I am pretty sure that is smoke. Many of the floats shoot confetti. Thank you for commenting on so many in this Mardi Gras series! -
Thank you Tony. I know what you mean. Since I have been away for several years, I have been trying to look at more than just the first few images posted. Many of these are from 2016 Mardi Gras. The 2017 season starts in a few weeks, so I am looking forward to some fun shooting! -

The numbers on the wall remind me of New Orleans post Katrina. There Xs with numbers were marked on houses noting how many victims were inside. Your numbers surely indicate floor. I don't know if it is purely the image, or my experience that makes this feel so dark and sad. -

Lovely tonal image. In the thumbnail, I couldn't decide if this was sad or serene. I guess it is a bit of both. As for the Amor...lets not leave it to the dogs. I think that I for one got a little complacent over the last 8 years...I've decided to ramp up love and compassion. -
