Went out to capture the sunrise yesterday, but was met with low lying
clouds and very little color in the sky. I did manage to capture a few
images for conversion to B&W, such as this one. Anyway, appreciate
your feedback on this image.

David -- First, very nice image. I like the depth of field chosen, as it presents the subject matter in much more original way. Second, I agree with some of the other comments that the cropped version is a bit stronger. I like both, but I think cropping out the sky does present a stronger composition and focus on the subject of the image. Finally, I love the light and the way you captured it on the brush in the foreground. All in all, a very nice image.

Thanks, Mike. Wasn't sure about this one. I appreciate the feedback.

I intended to convert this image to B&W, but starting playing around
with toning while editing. I'm not sure how I feel about the image,
though I do like the dreamy feeling it has. If anyone has any
comments or feedback about the effect, I would definitely appreciate
them.

Another beautiful image.

Beautiful image. The dark sky on the left directs the viewers eye to the mountain and the sun. Love the foreground interest as well. Nicely done.

Appreciate your feedback.

Really nice image. Making me realize I need to pull that lens out of the bag on occasion. Really lovely.

I think it's a good image. The composition is nice. The only struggle with these types of images is that it's impossible to expose for the foreground and hold detail in the moon. You either have to double expose or take a separate frame for the moon and blend it in. Anyway, I like the image.

Thanks, Mike. Appreciate the feedback. The halo on the hill is annoying. I hadn't realized it when I fist uploaded the image.

Thanks to all for the comments. I did take a separate image of the moon to retain detail, but I replaced it as it appeared in the original image (i.e., in the same location). I did, however, use a longer focal length for the moon image, which explains why it is exaggerated. I understand why the foreground and pier to the left over complicates the image. I like the foreground elements, but may try to simplify the image. I will repost after I re-work the image. Thank you again to all who provided feedback. The comments helped me see the image difderently.

Really lovely image. I cannot think of a single thing I would do differently.

I enhanced the color in the sky, but may have over done it.
I would appreciate any feedback on that or any other
components if the shot. As always, your comments and
feedback are most appreciated.

Interesting image. It might be better if you could pull a bit more detail out of the land elements, as they have gone completely black. I think this might help to anchor the image. Also, it appears that you have big dust spot in the middle of the cloud. This is easily correctiable using content aware fill in PS.

Went out to take sunset photos last night, and was met with a
cloudless sky. There was some color near the horizon after the sun
was mostly down, which I was able to capture. Any
comments/critiques would be most appreciated.
