Inverted in PS. Thanks for any questions, comments or derogatory remarks.

I would appreciate what you have to say. Thanks.

Sherry,
Thanks for the compliment. I used PS. Created a B&W layer then used a layer mask to brush over Wesley so he was in color. I pulled this out of the Photoshop Photo Effects Cookbook. I like these books and the Photoshop for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby. I'm still learning, but this technique is rather easy. It's also explained on this site. Again, thanks for commenting.

Sherry,
I agree. Well done with crop. I like the saturation and contrast that you've added. I believe this was saturated on my computer; however, I was having some trouble with color profiles at the time of this edit. I think I've cleared it up now (the whole sRGB v. Adobe RGB thing) and I'll revisit this photo with your suggestions. Thanks for you input. It was most helpful.

Hey Laura,
Is this the picture you were referring to? If so, I really like your lighting - it's very soft. I only had available light to work with here. I do have some strobes on my wish list though. I'm an amatuer at this but I'll take all the help I can get. Do you think the light is too harsh here?
Thanks.

I love these flowers. This shot didn't come from Ijams, did it?

Thanks.

I've been wanting to do this for awhile and took the opportunity last
night. This is my first attempt at this stuff. Your comments, as
always, are welcomed.

Here's a tweaked version, http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5221150">thanksChuck.
For this shot, I braced against a railing for a 2 second exposure.Secured by handheld pressure against railing.
I'd like to know what you think about this tweaked version. Thanks!

I secured the camera against a railing for a 4 second exposure at f/8
by applying pressure with my hands to stabilize the camera.

Chuck,
Excellent suggestion. Sometimes I forget what I can do with post-processing software and limit myself to the shot as-taken. Thanks for expanding my horizons here (no pun intended).
Cheers!

A wonderful mix of colors. This one jumped out at me in the critique forum. Well done!

Actually, braced against a railing for a 2 second exposure. Secured
by handheld pressure against railing. I was happy with this first
attempt at fireworks. Your comments are, of course, more than welcomed.
