    Real Love

this photo is an instant eye catcher. this sort of classic moment usually does well in b/w, but in this case i think it would lose something without those beautiful colors. adorable and tender and well timed. excellent shot.

hey, i was looking at those car photos you mentioned. i think this one's the easiest to leave some advice under. in this case i would desaturate, up the contrast, and sharpen a bit. i love the yellow so i might leave THAT in there to some degree... if you feel like manipulating that much. i love the composition and the detail int eh headlight, plus the gleam in the bumper adds interest.

the other thing is, you have a REAL car here. i had the benefit of working with shiny, nobody-ever-drives-them cars at a show.

thank you for your comment. it was much appreciated. let me know if you'd like anything else.

i love the touch of mystery about this one. it's amazing the difference a change of wardrobe color can make. once again, you've matched the pose of the subject to the feel of the photo.

you have captured the elegance of a dancer as well as the focus and training of the body all at once. the outfit emphasizes the former while the flexible pose, frozen in time, focuses on the latter. i like the gradual gradient of the bg and i'm glad you left this in color so we could appreciate the warmth of her skin tones.
