Beautiful shot Linda. Thanks for the link. I'm amazed not only the similarities in composition and subject but in color as well. We've got to stop doing this.
-
Exactly. March is good. You should stay at Ruby Inn right there too.

Hi Axel,
Nice to see your recent uploads and to know you visited Utah again. I hope you had a good time. We down in that neck of the woods too over the last couple of weeks. Bryce is pretty special. If you ever get the chance its a great place to tour by cross country ski in the winter. The white snow on top the red is memorable.
Happy travels and thanks for the note.

Things have been good. Thanks for asking. I've just been busy enjoying life. We had a very good ski season and got a new dog and a little bit of travel but mostly I've been lazy about posting. I'm having a hard time justifying what I would consider worthwhile posting. I think I'm turning into a harsh critique of my work or at least I feel it might be work that perhaps only I would be interested in (contradiction). It's probably just a phase. Seriously good shot. Shoot me a line and let me know how things are.

"From almost any angle, something can be made."
Well I think that may be true of you and your skills.
Nicely done Patricia. Exceptionally composed with a minimal painterly quality that stands up to the closest scrutiny.
-
This is among your purest work. I think it's beyond most but you're keenly aware of that. It can be lonely at the top my friend.

Hi Scott, I like the simple magic you've captured here with a sophisticated color scheme and contemporary composition. All the best.
-
A nice and unexpected change from the tight quarters of your typical streetscapes. I like the open clean composition. The calm periwinkle sky framing a complimentary orange is a very sophisticated awareness to palette. You've captured that magic lighting and crystal clarity you get right after a rain.
-
I appreciate the authentic era appearance in this series. There's something non-reproducible about early film/print feel and it comes through so vividly here. It must conjure up many memories for you.
-
Besides your work being of such high quality and exactness you are a very good storyteller. This is really a fine image.

Hi Bulent,
I'm going to side with Patricia on this one. I like the unconventional-ness of that little piece of compositional tug on the frame which demands a second look and further evaluation on a composition that is exceedingly good. I adore the image regardless of choice. [favorited]

A fine portrait filled with story. Aside from the obvious cosmetic differences its the story of expression in each that causes me to stare, study, examine, and enjoy this image.

Well talent sure does flow through the family.
-
So pristine and crisp it almost appears illustrative. I think the hard shadows accentuate that effect. Graphically great.
-
I like it the way it is but I couldn't resist a little McRitchie Conism.
-
I wonder how many times you've mined this alleyway. My guess is more than once but I could be mistaken, the appeal is your ability to pick out these compositional gems. I think you're explained how you do when you said you enjoyed the having fun. A lesson for all.
-
Certainly you must be pleased with this discovery? It's the full package for me. The compositional arrangement and bright colors are all in McRitchie alignment. The hard shadows and crisp details make it all the more appealing.
-
Nice. I was where Florian was initially too.
-
Hi TK, love the composition and colors. Its fun going through your work again.
-
I'll tell you Simon you really are inspiring. I admire your consistent high caliber work which only comes from strong self discipline and editing skills which I have found is the mark of the better photographers.

This is a nice revisit to your playground folder. I always liked the point of view of this slide and the other version looking down. Its as if through the eyes of a child as it should be. You seem to have a strong connection to this environment and it shows. We all should see the world through the eyes of a child.
I was saddened to see Sarah's comment but a good reminder to keep life light and enjoyable.
Thanks for that.
