Great detail and an adequate DOF which is always a challenge.

"Seems to me that all anonymous ratings are not counted in top photos default setting (Rate recent avg.) They must be rated in rate recent - forum. "
They do my friend unless they are from the very new members. In this case there were 3s and 4s which were removed(I noticed a while ago)by someone, most probably because they were given through bogus accounts and credit should be given to them.
"You can still select that scene (among with multiple other choices), and then do the research. And there it is... ...just between Heys and Gulers photos in second place. Average- choice in TRP counts every rating in. "
Yes, you could but that is a few clicks away and mosst people look at the trp for action. Besides, the fact is that image never saw the time of day anywhere near the TRP. as a matter of fact, it was number 171!!! and I just checked and it was number 79!
DON'T GET ME WRONG, this site is still, simply THE BEST there is out there and I do agree that one cannot please everybody but there are a few things that could bone which would make a huge improvement rather than simply ignoring the fact and name calling everyone who complains.
Thank you for stopping by and the fine comment my friend.
Best regards.

I thank you for the friendship you have shown me and also for your comment and appreciation of my work.
This is a reptile from Madagaskar and it's common name is Leaftail Gecko. The eyes on this one is actually bigger than any other one I have seen in this species. It eats insects and it's happy doing so!
Thank you again, Cheers.

Wilson,
Welcome back my friend. You certainly know what I'm talking about, collecting all 3s and 4s on your photos, specially your sport shots, the like of which one can't even see in Sports Illustrated!
.
Dear Budhadytia,
I thank you for the visit and the heat warming comment. Unfortunately, like I said earlier, putting up a photo for rating seems to be the only way to share it with the bigger audience. I could have left this photo on my portfoilio and share it with my few good friends who visit me but I decided not to. I thank you again for the comments.
.
Kai,
Thank you my friend for the kind comment..
Mary,
I will have to get back to you a little later, thank you for the visit again.
.
Christopher,
It is a pleasure to get a visit from you.
.
Tommy and Alin,
Thank you for the support.
Kind regards to all. -

I really don't care about rating for the sake of getting 7s, how often do you see me putting up photos for rating? But, if you want your work to be shared by the bigger community, unfortunately, that's the only way. I put up a photo for critique only the other day and it did not get even one comment! People are mostely interested in rating and too many people are abusing the system. There is NO REASON why this photo should be on the 15Th page of the list of "top rated" photos and 171th in rank, for the day, mine or somebody else's.
Cheers.

Thank you My friends for the uplifting comments.
Yes, this "great shot" turned out to have a place on the 15th page of the "TRP", what a PITTY JOKE and I hope the adminstrators, someday, catch some of the cheaters and manipulators! If you are not a mate rater, coordiante with friends or have multiple accounts to rate yourself, that's where you'll end up. And YES, find me a shot with this magnification and level of detail on this site or elsewhere and I take my words back with apologies.
Best regards to all who took the time.

I thank you for dropping in and commenting my friend. You certainly seem to know the business. I am, by no means being fresh, but I have truly and expeditiously been looking around specially for bee shots. I'd appreciat any link that that you or anyone else may leave here for me.
With best regards.

The capture is magnificent, the colors beautiful and focus just right. I love seeing their shadows on the bed and thier reflection on the water. I specially like their harmony of action, every bird's head turned to their right by about 90 Degrees.
Cheers.

Thank you my friend for the feedback. I'm being told, left and right NOT to be modest and this time, I'm not going to be!
I used Tamron SP DI 180MM Macro along with a 2X converter and about 130MM of extension tubes. As you know, this makes it a very tuff shooting set up and with the 2x, you lose lots of light and also lose detail!
Thank you again.
