many thanks for your interest in my shot and for your encouragement.

innocent looking. I like the way she is looking at the camera. The dark atmosphere whether intentional or accidental works. It is something like augmenting the sense of being alone, but the overexposed patch on her shoulder is a bit distracting. the background is also a bit noisy and there is a blue cast that proves the white balance action by the camera has failed.

eye-catching landscape with diagonal cloud profile which has turned this shot into a dynamic one and an analogous color scheme which has in turn made this shot really peaceful to the viewer. I like the sporadic cloud shadows on the ground. The sky is a bit oversaturated which has turned the color cast a bit artificial. this shot is also a good candidate for black and white. Have you ever tried it? I think taking away the color can let the viewer focus more on the form and lines.

nice shot. classic composition with a combination of horizontal lines and analogous color scheme on the cold side of the color space to make it as peaceful as it gets. You have controlled the light pretty well. The only problem I think is there are some strange colors in the sea waves that must have got there in the post process phase. All in all, it is an attractive shot.

Interesting shot and suitable title. the contrast between old and new is really eye-catching. good eyes.

I like this image since it has combined the elements of similarity with nice complementary color scheme. At first sight it is impossible to tell what it is, so it is a genuine abstract. The distance to subject and the focal length is really appropriate having cropped unnecessary elements that would otherwise ruin this nice abstract.

This is the ancient fort Ghaleroudkhan high on the mountain near
Fouman in Iran. Thanks for your comments and critiques. I appreciate a
lot.

interesting shot with great details in the fur. Although the lighting is a little too intense, having caused some heavy shadows, but the facial expression of the seal is very funny.

Very well-balanced ( balance by recognition and contrast ) and ultimately tranquilizing. It's like looking at it in a dream. There are two drawbacks in my view. first is the excessive blank space above the boats. A little cropping job can take care of it. Another point to mention is the tone banding in the sky which I think is caused by too much tweaking of the brightness and contrast or maybe application of some filters.

Finding such a simple every-day object that many ignore and pass by is an artistic work in real sense of the word. The distance chosen has eliminated unnecessary elements and has turned this into a nearly abstract piece of work. The only minor drawback that could enhance the image could be more depth of field to get the lower part of the image out of blur.

The first thing that attracted my attention was lack of contrast caused by ghosting probably caused by the direct beam of projectors. Another drawback in my opinion is that the whereabouts of the action ( the focal point ) is too occupied by distracting elements. You should have used a longer focal point to focus directly on the subject. you are unfortunately not close enough.

thanks a lot for your comments. They are encouraging.

I can see some people here bring forth the classic compositional rules such as focal point and maybe the rule of the third while there is no such thing here in this genre. This is what is called non-objective art meaning there is no trace of a particular object we can readily identify. In this style, whether created by splash of color on the canvas or interaction of fundamental elements such as shapes, lines, rhythm, or color, there is no such thing as a classic composition containing a focal point and secondary ones with balancing and emphatic elements. This is at its best a kind of abstract that captivates using fundamental elements. In this case, rhythm and lines dominate. very nice peiece of work with a two dimensional feel to it defying any spatial sense.

I think cropping suggested by our friend works if you try it. of course, this image is powerful enough and is well-balanced. The cracks are really fantastic and stand complement to the skulls color. Good composition. best regards.

thanks for visiting and your encouraging comments. the fort is vastly reconstructed and i wanted to capture the contrast between the original and the new construction material. Yes, when I got up there after a good one and half hour of walking the sky was overcast and all you could see was a gray curtain. i pretty much wished for a blue sky with some scattered clouds to add variety to this shot, but...
