When using LR3 it defaults to CS4 when trying to edit to Photoshop. How do I get LR3 to edit to CS5?
Thanks for your help

In LR3 when I edit a photo in PS4 or PS5 and save... it does not show up in LR where I have it rated (3 star etc) but only will show up with no ratings in LR. In LR2 it will show up where ever you have rated it with the new edits. Is there something I need to turn on or is this just the new character of LR3.
Thanks, Ernie

If you have several cards from the same shoot and for an example they all came from the same camera and the number sequence are all the same. What is the best way to batch renumber these so when you import into LR2 they will have different file names.

I am trying to back up large RAW files for weddings. I want to be able to burn large files on to multiple DVD's . I am looking for a program that would prompt me to put another DVD in once it is full.

Thanks everyone thats some good stuff... Nadine the window is very large and will be directly behind wedding party. After listening to you all it sounds like a single parabolic reflector trying to keep it out of the family of angles might be the better choice over umbrellas.

The question I have is concerning getting good exposure on wedding party (and stained glass window) when shooting formal pose with a well lit stained glass window in backgroud.
I will be using 2 AB800 with umbrellas and I have a light meter.
Thanks, Ernie

I created a sharpening action droplet using Scott Kelby's method found in his
Lightroom Book for digital photographers located on on page 218-222. My
problem is when I drop images into the droplet they will not automatically save
and close action automatically I have to manually save and close even though
these processes where recorded.

I am trying to leave one small part of a photo(using marquee tool with a
boarder) at 100% opacity and reduce the majority of picture to a much lower
opacity. I have been trying to do it with layers but cannot figure it out.
Thanks Ernie

I just starting out with studio lighting here is my equipment... One Alienbees
B800, One 32 inch reflector, one cactus transmitter and two cactus receivers.
I also have 2 SB800 (camera D200)
The AB will be my key light and I will use the reflector for fill I would like
to use the SB800 (set on Manual) for back light(s). What is the best way for
me to set this up? I tried to trigger the AB using the cactus but could not
get it to flash.
Thanks, Ernie

I have been trying to teather my D200 to my laptop to view in Lightroom
(file menu, auto import, enable auto import) The problem I am having is when I
connect my camera using the USB connecting cable that came with my camera to
the USB port on laptop the camera's top view screen displays the letters "PC"
and a load bar appears trying to load something but does not quit Loading.
Thanks Ernie

Try unchecking ICC profile (click save as and look for ICC profile at bottom of box) when you are saving an image I had this same thing happpen to me... I resolved this issue by unchecking ICC profile each time I saved a picture and then pictures would print ok at the lab. I finally had to reload PS to solve the problem.

One other thing you can try that makes the Christmas Tree lights twinkle more is use a cross screen filter on your lens. I also agree with John

Thanks everyone for your responses the folder view will work for me. I just thought there might be an easy step in LR or CS2 that I was missing. Also I shoot RAW-JPG for the same reason that Patrick expressed.

The very last post really helped clear things up, also here is a link that Will Crocket sent me today that he recently posted to explain the 2/3 flash 1/3 ambient question. Once again thanks to everyone for your input.
