Just brilliant. Nice choice on cropping as well. Going into my favorites list.

An agrarian Shangri-La. Outstanding.

Wonderful the way momma is looking back at her baby. Another excellent moment!!!

I think it's very nice. Not cliche, just that everything has been done before, this too. But I like the lighting and the color treatment, and the overall balance of the image is excellent. Very well done.

I also like this. Sweet composition and use of color. It's far more interesting blurry than it could ever be as an in-focus image, imo. Without the detail the mood is isolated. Really nice.

It's a teensy bit soft - I'm looking at the face of the bird. Motion blur on the wings and tail, just fine. I really like the moment that you captured, with the kestrel looking almost right at you and the full extension of the wings, etc. Very nice warm light on the bird as well. Nice image, well done!

This is a nice shot. For my money, the sky could be desaturated a bit, less blue, and if I were there I would have, as suggested earlier, tried several attempts to get the surf pattern to be more interesting, rather than having just a bit of it in the lower right. But I also agree that having a perfectly split horizon is ok for this. If ALL your shots have the subject in the middle, then you're missing some opportunities. But in some cases it works great, you just have to get your own sense of style. I would emphasize the foreground or the clouds (and change the horizon) only if the dominant area made the image more interesting.
Also, don't worry about the point and shoot. Excellent images are available from those cameras. They have their limitations, but image quality can be fantastic in good light, and the much more important aspect is the photographer, i.e. YOU!

What a clever design, excellent composition captured at just the right moment. Great job!

For some reason the color is muted unless you click on this image to get it
full-size, but once you do you get the full brilliance of the water and a richer
look at the forest.

One of many winners in your port, but I single this out as an unusual vision of a scene that has been done many times. Excellent work!

Lots of powerful elements in this one, my eye keeps moving around between the foreground, the bizarre cloud coming out of the top, and the glacier/mountains. I really like this a lot. Nice work!!!

Very nice! We've all done stairs before, but this is an excellent composition and the color works really well. Well done!!!

Spooky and foreboding. I like this a lot. If it were me, because I like playing around with things, I'd mess with the tone to see if I could make it look even more toxic. But it's an excellent image as you made it, nice work!

Very nicely done. This kitten looks especially small and vulnerable in the dim light and hard backdrop, with the long shadows giving the feeling that night almost upon us. Really good!

A very dramatic crop and capture, it really looks like some sort of menacing, mechanical wasp. Nicely done!

This is a wow. Fantastic, wonderful work. I'm really impressed!

Johanna,
Rest easy, I composed this (and finished it, including title) to create the illusion that the elephant is in distress. There were about thirty elephants in the area, and none were actually in distress. I wanted to create something different and interesting though, and I find that large animals often require creativity on my part to prevent "just another elephant pic".

Wow, this is an excellent get. By you, I mean... I can't tell if the kid's going to get the ball. But this is an evocative image, it's great seeing him leave his feet like this, and I think it's better not knowing whether he makes the play or not. It's interesting to speculate, and in the end it's impressive the way he's going after it, whether he gets it or he doesn't.
I guess my one piece of feedback then is - don't tell us what happened!!!!
Great work!!!

Truly exceptional. The action, composition, detail, lighting, they are all outstanding. This is what a "7" is all about.

A lot of fun, made more interesting imo by the gap in the trailing smoke. Well done!

A spectacular image. Adding to my limited list of favorites. Bravo!

Very enjoyable technique applied to the subject. This might not be as difficult to do as some of your other images, but I like it - caught my eye.
