It has a nice mood to it. The two things that detract from it in my view are the "rear half a horse" in the center background and the little stub of a tree that sticks up from the bottom center. You might be able to clone out both.

Still learning my new 600mm lens.

This is Version 3. I have left Version 2 up temporarily for
comparison.

Good work then. Nice of you not to use the flash. I gather it really bugs their eyes.

ok, tell the truth. Is this out in the real world ? what is the setting? It doesn't look like a flash was used (no catchlights in the eyes) but the background is black.

A great shot. Looks like she has stolen her fish and is running away with it!

Thanks.

Nice shot. Where was it taken? Doesn't look like flash was used - how did you get dark background?

Shot at dawn at a ranch in British Columbia.

This is a cropped and rebalanced version of a photo I submitted
yesterday. Hopefully it is an improvement.

agree with the comments above, though for my taste it looks just abit oversharpened.

surreal, lovely composition.

I don't know if the sky was altered in photoshop - it looks like it was pushed into the blues. I think an interesting approach would haven been to let it be grey and possibly use curves to ehance the detail in the clouds which would give a different mood and some contrast in the mood between a foreboding sky and the warm inviting grass in the foreground. As it is the photo seems static to me

I agree with all of the comments above. His sadness and vulnerability invites enquiry into why he was so desperate. The story behind it invokes a lot of sympathy for the old woman. The textures in the shot are great too - rough textures for a rough subject.

Interesting graphic. On this poor monitor at my office the highlights in the rocks seem blown. If so you might be able to pick them up by adjusting shadow/highlights. It makes for an attractive abstract even without the "moses" visual pun.

Either a great capture or even better photoshop work! When you asked for comments re your "re-edit" do you mean that you created this in PS? Anway well done.

Looks like this little fellow is generating quite a wake! Is the wake actually ripples flowing over a rock? Anyway nicely composed! I wonder if you could bring out some detail in the duck's feathers using CS2 shadows/highlights? You might also try cloning out some of the stray bits and pieces of white in the area to the right of the duck which are a bit distracting.

Just got back from a week in Cuba. Very interesting country.
Unfortunately I did not get much time to photograph.
Thanks for taking a look!

This is, I think, my pick of this portfolio. The flowing white lines along the edge of the rock mimic the look of the model's hair - and tie the model to the background. The flowing look of those marks link the foreground to the river in the background. Her ribs add to the soft texture which contrasts nicely, of course with the rock background. It would be tough to improve on this photo in my opinion.

I like this idea a lot - It would be nice if there was more visible below the water to add another dimension to the image. Also there is a lens flare and stray light flare on the lower right that could be cloned out
