This was an 18 second exposure. The Auroral Storm was intense. It started about 10:30 pm and was visable until sunrise. Thanks for the ratings and comments.

Thanks for viewing and your creepy comment :) The illumination source on the mountain is light pollution from the city of Anchorage. I am hoping for some full moon nights with auroral this season. Joe

This photograph was taken from the overlook in Talkeetna, Ak. This
is the Alaska range with Denali (Mt McKinley) backlit by the Aurora
Borealis also known as "The Northern Lights". At 20,320 Feet this is
the largest mountain in North America. It was a rare pleasure to
have clear skies and Auroral activity over Denali. All comments are
