Thank you Deb, Michael and Rashed for taking a look and the feedback. I might add it is best viewed "Larger" because of digital patterns due to Photo.Net resizing. Larger view is much cleaner.

The horizon is intentionally placed in the middle to include all the
available layers. Critiques are welcome. Thanks!!

Nice scene with robust color. The bluish cast in the water makes a nice contrast for the leaves.

This is a magical scene under a surreal light. I love the soft understated colors. I think what Ken may be pointing out is that the two trees are cut off at the bottom and placed at the entrance of the image. While the sky is most interesting, the horizon may be too close to the middle of the frame. Moving the horizon up would bring the two trees into the the lower left intersection of thirds, allowing an entrance from the bottom right and placing the horizon along the upper third parallel. I was immediately attracted to this image, however, because of its subtle beauty. Despite my overly technical critique,
I quite like it. 6/6

Observations and Salutations are welcome!! This is re-worked and re-
posted from April 2005.

Thanks Chris, Kim and Fred for looking. You are observing some smog which actually helps tone down the distant mountains. The smoke that year was only the result of smaller controlled burns as I recall.

Any comments are welcome. Thanks!

Love the light glowing from the wet pier. The colors are striking and this is well done. If the pink cloud in the middle top was absent, it could be better in my opinion. That is nitpicking on my part and I feel you have provided us with honey of an image. Thanks!!!

I always say " F16 and be there". So often scenes like this are happening when we are sleeping in. Nothing can compare to pre-dawn light. While the horizon typically should not fall square in the middle, I feel that in this case the rule was meant to be broken. Beautifully done!!

Definitely eyecatching. I would have tried another composition, cropping the top and bottom and focusing on the pattern only. This is very effective though.

Hey Brian. Very nice! This is excellent with the black backdrop. I would like to see a tighter crop and exclude what looks like a glass vase at the bottom. Otherwise this is one of my favorites of yours. I am still attached to velvia 50 and my old Nikon gear. Would realy love to upgrade to canon digital and new lenses and may do so soon, but it is the expense that is holding me back for now. I also love the anticipation of slides coming back from the lab. I would more so like to go to 6x7 format. I notice you are shooting digital. How does it suit you. Mark

I like the light. It appears that the rain has recently been falling. The theme is compelling. The split in the road says to me: "Which way to go now" Beautiful scene. 6/6

The colors complement each other well. The timing is excellent considering the color and reflection on the rock. I've seen this image before so I can't give you a high mark for originality but it is aesthetically perfect!

Justin. This is so sublime. Your exposure and timing is right on. This is a beautiful spot. I've seen this done before, but yours is its own work of art. Greatness!!!!

It is very fine I think. The colors are abundant while not appearing to be PS oversaturated. Great composition with the falls leading into the scene. Where is it? Thanks for posting!!!
