  1. This week I once more tried out the HD function on my Nex 3. The pictures could not be taken in raw mode and although the shadows opened up, the overall picture was flat. Here they are for your inspection . Oh BTW you may post three of your pictures with the long side no more than 700 pixels.
  2. Howard, I have Snapseed on my Samsung S5 android. I have not tried moving pix from camera to phone but I may just for fun.
  3. <p>Ellis suggests the best method but I would add to write down the measurements for reference as you adjust the spacing and light output. Also use an incident light meter aimed at the light source.</p>
  4. Howard might be out of contact so I'll post a few (less than 700 pixels) pictures taken with a Minolta Dimage F300. Please add some of your work with Sony/Minolta gear.
  5. <p>Howard, looks like you had a "fair time". Youth soccer has started up and this is Maggie in pursuit of the ball.</p><div></div>
  6. <p>Howard, the cat portrait is nicely posed and framed. Lightweight in Texas without my camera gear and cellphone is not a Sony. Hope next week to be functional again.</p>
  7. <p>Sharpened with high pass filter and increased saturation in PS 6. Also add some ink edges.</p><div></div>
  8. View from the back. The Stutz did not have cupholders but there was a rail (like a mini bar) on the back of the front seat.<div></div>
  9. Cars were manufactured here as shown by this 1930 Stutz.<div></div>
  10. <p>This week we returned our grandson to the Indianapolis Airport where the airy architecture once again was interesting.</p><div></div>
  11. <p>Converted to adobergb, adjusted levels and added watercolor filter.</p><div></div>
  12. On the canal behind the museum were these reflections.<div></div>
  13. This week we were off to the Indiana State Museum. Had a great day and shot a few pictures with the Nex3. got some summer snaps? Post up to 3 with the long side no more than 700 pixels.<div></div>
  14. <p>I changed the light levels and cropped to a sort of pano look. Did not look at the submissions until I was through and they are way better than mine but it is fun anyhow.</p><div></div>
  15. <p>The second picture (which I like) appears as if there is mixed lighting from a mixing of the shaded? sunlight and reflected light from the vegetation. I pulled a copy into PSE 12 and used the remove color cast tool on various places of the white feathers and none really seemed to get everything correct. I think that when you do the blank paper test, in evenly lit sunlight, no yellow will show.</p>
  16. The backyard swing has seen two sets of grandchildren. One of the dads tested it by standing in it and jumping up and down.<div></div>
  17. Seems like things come up that slow down the photographic effort. The last two days have been beautiful so I was able to work in the shade for a while. Post a few of your pictures if you have time.
