1.
Howard those low sun shots are great! This week the adapter for Nikon F to Sony E mount arrived. I was going to use my Vivitar Series 28-90 F2.8-3.5 lens but it was way to heavy for comfortable use so the chosen lens was a Super Lentar (rebadged Tokina) 28mm F2.8.

 2.
Laura, like the mosaic. Here's a varigated leaf.

 3.
Howard, those ceramic techniques are amazing. I really like the starfish looking sculpture. Hosteen, I wouldn't put my finger in that mouth! I am still experimenting with the Konica 50mm on the Nex 3 so I have some pictures showing the detail and color that it can achieve.

 4.
The statue gives a different perspective on reality. Reminds me of Escher. Still using the adapted Konica lens with this picture of a lonely water pump in a pasture. Had to crop to get the pump visible.

 5.
This how my 7000i looks. If yours is different, maybe it is a different model. Could you post a picture?
Randyc

 6.
David Stephens... Love that shimmering appearance of the feathers.

 7.
We are having very nice early fall week here in Indiana.

 8.
Howard, I have version 3 software will look at version 5. I have manual focus assist turned on. Thanks for the link.

 9. #3 The 700 pixel limit really takes away the detail in this picture.

 10.
The Fotga adapter for the Konica 50mm F1.7 lens arrived. After finding out how to set the shutter release to fire without lens and setting the focus to DMF I was able to start trying the lens on my Sony Nex 3. Several years ago (when film was the only thing to use) I was taking wedding pictures with a Minolta X 700 and a zoom lens. The prints came back with a high number of out of focus pictures. The wedding reception was held in a room with low level lighting and I was mis focussing the camera. Not the cameras fault but my eyes were not as sharp as the used to be. OK I purchased an auto focus camera and that fixed the sharpness problem. The Nex 3 focus peaking doesn't work with the non coupled adapter. I went back to the technique of guessing the distance and setting the lens with that estimate. The following are some of the results but I didn't write down the exposure settings.

 11. The band Eight Track Mind was playing. Had to put my ear plugs in.

 12.
Howard, these are much sunnier. We attended the youth soccer end of season party and the weather was great. PS can't edit the caption, It should say definitely vice defiitely,

 13.
Hi Patrick. I have a non metered Nikkorex that is built like a tank and takes F mount lenses. See it here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikkorex
Mine has a focal plane shutter and absolutely no meter. eBay listing here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nikon-Nikkorex-F-SLR-Film-Camera-Body-only-/301751856969?hash=item4641cfef49 Randyc
 14.
Walter, I have three different varieties similar to the small Nikon mentioned earlier. Cameras like this are hard to beat for portability and the picture quality is good if the ISO doesn't get too high or severely cropped. The small camera I usually grab is Sony's Nex 3 which I bought from eBay and has very good picture quality up to about ISO 1600. They are normally between $100 and $200. Mine was $169 with the kit lens and charger. It is not nearly as compact as the Nikons but it is fun to use although it has no EVF. Good luck.

Randyc
