The Michigan Central Railroad station in downtown Detroit is one of

the most stunning yet neglected buildings in the city. Used for the

occasional movie (i.e. The Island), and stripped for its marble

interior, it has seen much but stands now as a giant gravestone for

    what used to be.

The middle of the long-abandonded Fisher Body plant in Detroit,

Michigan is about the last place you would ever find life. This 2-

inch seedling caught my eye as one hell of an optimistic sign.

Thanks for looking, all comments welcome.

The blacksmith in the tiny lake costal town of Glen Haven,

Michigan. The town consists of about 7 buildings and a yield sign,

but I still managed to soak up some local color.

Shot in one of Detroit's many, many abandoned buildings. These are

the only TV's I've found that were not smashed in. All comments

    welcome, thanks for looking.

The secluded Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan produce a very

preservative climate. This ancient forest is being revealed slowly

over time as the sand erodes. One day, the Bear will be gone.

thanks for looking, all comments welcome.

Taken at the blacksmith shop in Glen Haven, Michigan. This town is

so small, it has one stop sign. The blacksmith shop operates as a

living museum. Thanks for looking, all comments welcome.

The common horse may not seem like an endangered animal, but riding

stables such as this one are. Suburban sprawl, and the apparent

demand for half-million dollar homes in the area threaten to choke

out the few stables in the area. I went to photograph before it's

    gone...

This Pond is actually on campus at the University of Michigan-

Dearborn, and served as Henry Fords backyard for a time. A few

students bother to find it now and then...

    Thanks for stopping,
