The red is amazing, but the sky seems bland in comparison.

You say this is not manipulated. Amazing color for natural light. It is a bit on the contrasty side and the thing on the left could have been framed or cropped out. It doesn't add anything to the image. Very cool none the less.

Pretty nice. The color seems a bit off, but the reaction of the guy below is great. If it weren't for those darn power lines...
A ladder and bolt cutters would have solved that problem.

Super! It looks like a long lost NG photo from the '30s. This is a situation where the off-kilter framing and slanting horizon relly add to the effect. Very enjoyable. Good ol' Holgas.

You did just fine with this one.

Nice, though I would have avoided the floor. It is so burned in it looks molten.
-
Nicely PS'd. You created a soft image that "pops" where it needs to. Nice tonal range.

Very interesting idea. She is dressed too nicely to be a farmer. I dont know if the black scarf works; white maybe, red? I would have tried a few. But, there is something about the black that throws it off for me.

O, Canada! It looks like Canada should look; cold yet classy. It looks compressed somewhat. Did you use a 200mm, 300mm?

Big cones, little kid. Kids are always a good bet, but I don't get a clear story here. Almost...

The window glass is a bit distracting. It may have been more appealing with a polarizing filter to cut down the glare. That would have also increased apparent saturation of the red (possibly). The red chair does add interest.

[i had better be careful here; I am viewing this image on an unfamiliar monitor.]
It looks like there is a severe amount of grain. This may have been better as a monochrome (?) Interesting framing, and execution.

It almost looks like light is coming from more than one direction. This is a pleasant image. Did you try a shot vertical to display more sky and more room above the tower?

Have you contacted this locale to off to sell this image for their use? This is a superbly executed architectural image. The exposure is fantastic for such an extremely difficult situation. Great work.

Talbert, I never said this was a bad shot of a cat. In fact, I think I said the opposite. "Less product, more cat."
My point in detail is this; you don't need to show every can and box to get the idea of selling the product. The cat is the most important feature.
You are selling cat food to cat people. They will want to see more of the cat also. Better lighting (I know that the photographer had no choice here, that's OK) would make the fur shimmer and a catch light would make the eyes sparkle. That's all.
Oh, and if you want reaction... bring in the dogs.

Oh! So this is where Satan lives.

You can't say anything bad about three happy kids. Kids are fun, uninhibited, playful, so catch them doing something crazy and see what interesting shots you can get.
-
What courage. This is such a difficult thing to shoot; dark stone and bright window. Did you use any sort of applied lighting? This would probably need some fill and skim.

You just can't help but smile.

Fun photo. The dog looks a little snooty. Nicely done.

Very nice. But again (gosh, I say this a lot) this type of shot (imo) HAS to have a perfectly straight horizon. Also, I think the sky loses interest in the last third. I would maybe have like more sand and water at the bottom and sacrificed some of the sky.
I am being very nit-picky here because it is a very nice shot.

Great. Everything about this image says, "STEEL." Wonderful job. A little detail is lost in the darkness at the bottom, but I am sure that's just an issue with the online display size. A print would be stunning.

I like the feel of this image. Good timing to wait for the boat to move in fromt of the couple. They are centered in the glare of the lights of the boat. This really helped bring the couple out of the background. Very nice.
I see the ground was nice and reflective in places, did you attempt to use the reflectiveness of the sidewalk in other exposures?
