I want to go! It is a bit washed out. This is a time of day, time of year kind of thing. Not too much can be done. There is little detail in the upper right to even try to get anything out of it.
-
Oops, I forgot. Get (or make) a press badge and get stage/backstage access. If you can swing that, you'll get a whole different look at things.

Use fast film and ear plugs (although deaf photographers can still get good images.)
This shot is ok, but the guy on the right is blocking his face. Just take lots of shots. I've shot some concerts and it is hard to really know what you have until you get back to the office. It's quantity that will save you.

The boy's ship has run aground. ;-) Thanks for sharing this.

Good experiment. I'm not sure this works as whites and grays. If the contrast were cranked up to get blacks, it would look like a lithograph. Keep experimenting and working with this idea.

This is great, of course I am a history nut and love old photos. I didn't know Mathew Brady was a member of Photo.net.

Nice texture and I like the framing. The burning in of the sky is a bit too obvious, though.

No apology necessary. Just curious.

Reality, yes! Lots of reds, but it works for me. Good study.

I like this one also, but I still would have liked a DoF that included them both.
-
I personally love B&W informal portraits. So, this I like. I would have liked an increased DoF, just enough to get both in focus.

Very cool. This would make a great print. There are lots of detail to get lost in. I would love to hear about the technical details of this image (lens, PS manips, etc.)
-
Nice. The color choice definitely adds interest. On a technical note, wht is the grid pattern I see in the sky and the snow?
-
Lots of good things here; pose, framing, tone. Good job. She looks very alluring.

Interesting study. However, because the color looks so bland, maybe a monochrome version would be stronger?

You have captured an amazing image. The composition is superb, and the subject is like a fantasy painting. It has the same quality of looking at clouds to discern shapes. There are a multitude of wonderful elements hidden in this image. Well done.

This is nice overall. It could be improved by not framing the walkers so close to the bottom of the frame. Monochrome may be called for also (there's not much color anyway), it may strengthen the presentation.
P.S. I now see it IS a monochrome, I need to get a new monitor or glasses, sorry 'bout that.

Yikes! I wish you wouldn't post these at bedtime!
Great execution and I think you've nailed your concept quite well. Dead on, friend.

Wow. This is very interesting. You have captured a very unique image of the ballet; an extremely artistic interpretation executed very well.

I was going to give this 3/3, but then I saw the Taylor, and I just couldn't. Naw, just kidding.
You've got great range here, nice. The verticals are very interesting. they fill what would be very empty space and actually make me "visualize" the sound waves eminating from the musician.
