The 'hard' light makes the image very contrasty, but it is also a little grainy. THe busy background is distracting too.

is desaturated and contrasty, in the style of the semi-cartoon movie

"Sin City".

Thanks Alex and Tiina. I agree that the backgrounds you have suggested would be good, but the negative space left is for copy and other pics, movie-poster style.

I added a solarize effect to bring the hair detail out on this image -

it has given an interesting effect on the mountains that is like the

original greyscale pictures of the surface of the moon.

Cute, but a bit "snap-shot-ish". Remember, a good photo is also about what you leave out - your background is too distracting. You look good as a readhead.

I found this a little underexposed, unless you meant to do that, for an arty effect.
