After fixing just soak in water and wetting agent for 30 mins and the tint clears.

If you don't like/want this camera go along to his shop - Real Camera Co in Manc as he has loads and loads of lovely old cameras and, he is a 'nice bloke'

Well worth shooting. I have used glass plates made in the 1940s with nice results. Develop it yourself for best results

Bostick & Sulivan in USa. Will ship it.

Seen similar methods used in Havana, Cuba. Interesting results!

Foma 100 in Rodinal is great stuff too. Best of all PAnF in Rodinal. Good quality film with great results. Better than Efke

Apologies in advance but I have just been a bit over-excited playing
with my FDK LF Aka Igor The Beast - loaded with some 9x12cm v old
Mimosa glass plates I acquired.
Guess work and intuition regarding the ASA and development with
Rodinal led me to this image. First try :-)

I have an interesting air shutter on a Russian LF I was given. It's sort of 'barn-doors' approach. Works ok though.

Brilliant. Sounds like Hal is descending into kit form! Still, if he still wants to work, then send him on to the next person who shouts they want to give him a holiday!
Looking forward to seeing shots from Romania

Probably the best one is the one you can easily get - or the one you already have. My fav box is Houghton Butcher 2 1/4 with miniscus lens.

Twas me I admit. To begin with I didn't think HAl would travel this far. By the time he had been away 6 months I had lost track of where he had been - bar the records on here. I wanted to keep it simple. Take some photos with Hal, post them here and ask for the next offer of a 'holiday' for Hal - then pass him on. That way I don't have to do paperwork!
I did actually include a 'passport' with Hal for participants to record where he had been. Whether that is still operational I don't know.
May I suggest Hal keeps moving after a max of 10 days at one place please!!

Nice pics Mr CE. Love the Franka too - when I remember to use the right red window!!

Just remebered I put a similar request a few weeks ago.
had this reply;

Don't pay the ransom, Hal escaped. I'm sorry, I still have the camera, along with half a roll I haven't finished, but will tomorrow and get it off to Julian. Again, sorry about the delay, I hate it when life gets in the way of fun.

He was around recently. If the present whereabouts of The Little Fellow is known, please SHOUT

I think it's 'on-going' as they say. Boss wants me to rotate pictures from time to time. I say that's OK!

No worries! Glad to hear HAl is still ok. SOmeone over on Nelsonfoto is awaiting Hal and I wouldn't want to dissappoint .
Mind you, with a classy camera like Hal, I'm surprised someone didn't want to keep him :-)

I'm off there in 3 days and really looking forward to it. Not wanting to stir things up but there are lots of aspects of Cuba that are prefereable to what there is else where - and vice versa - it's ones personal outlook and priorities that influence as to what you think is important.
Hoping to spend some time in Havana then off into the country a bit to chill, meet some people and relax. No McDonalds etc - which is a real bonus!
The big problem has been deciding what photo kit to take !

classic!
