    As the Earth came directly between the Sun and the Moon, its shadow blacked out the bright

    light of a full moon. This resulted in a creepy, dimly lit blood red full moon that sort of

    looked like Mars. This photo was taken as Earths shadow began to slowly leave the surface of

    the Moon. The entire process lasted just over 3 hours. Thanks for comments and critiques.

  1. Hello Manu. I used a hard edged graduated neutral density from the top of the frame to just below the horizon line so as to expose both the sky and foreground properly. There wasn't a lot of light left at the time of this exposure, so the upper corners are very dark. Thanks for your comment. Cheers, -Mathew Cook-

    I think you've done a good job with this image. It keeps just a hint of reality while emitting alot of artistic drama. Was this shot in or out of focus while it exposed (if you don't mind me asking.)? Congats on some nice work. -Mathew Cook-
