Chris, thank you so much for your suggestion and critique!

30.000 views, and not a single comment. Oh, well...

Oooh, this is a really wonderful composition and color combination. Very, very good!

Very good and honest capture.

You?ve managed to capture both the shadows and the highlights perfectly. Photography is all about capturing light, and this is a fine photograph. Congratulations.

I concur. The busy, but OOF background is very original, and the story of main subject still clear. Congratulations on this fine shot.

Original and fresh with the wind in the hair.. Great expression.

Thank you for your comment Duane.
I took the photo in a small boat rocking on the waves, after sunset, at ISO 800 at minimum focusing distance, leaning out over the other side of the boat, so you might agree the conditions were far from perfect :-) More DOF in this situation would mean softness from camera shake. I also happen to like how I can make hair turn 'liquid' with the bokeh from my 50mm 1.4 lens, but perhaps I overdo it.

Brilliant capture. I take great pleasure in perusing your photographs. You have a special talent.

Well, this IS the country of H.C. Andersen :-) Thank you all for your comments and critique.

Thanks for looking Stephen.
The reflection / shadow is a bit soft/diffracted from travelling through my room, its not out of focus.
I havent seen Michaels work before. Thanks for the pointer.

I usually use PTAssembler software and something called SmartBlend to blend the images. This particular one was a bit different than my usual stitches, but thats a long story.
-
The images were shot from an angle, later corrected in the stitch, for the reason of removing my shadow from the light. But it was also done because even my 15-30 Sigma wouldn't cover the whole scene. I've made it routine to do stitches from my 50mm 1.4 to get optimal image quality and unlimited field of view.

The last rays of the sun reflected upon my back wall. This photo is
a rectliniear stitch of 12 individual frames, to form a large final
image. Critique and comments most welcome.

Beautiful capture, Lucas. The snow on the top left is both distracting and storytelling, the composition both mundane and rule-breaking, but the artistic spirit is not lost on me. I love the black and white version, the color version
is also nice in its monochromacity, but it shows some color noise artifacts, of which this version is void.
