Awesome. The light, water and reflection here are perfect. Really great catch, nicely recorded.

Fabulous.

Let me add that I am terrible at making filler flash work to my advantage. It's an art, and I'm still working with it. My results tend to be washed of color...but that's the fun. When you get something good, it was all worth it.

Sure, and this just my opinion, I think the area around below her chin and around her neck is too dark. Like I said, this is still a fun capture, and who carries around an external flash and a diffuser?

Great color.

Not that anyone is ever this ready when a good shot appears, but a little diffused filler flash would have gone a long way to help here.

Why haven't I thought of this? Bird's eye it is. Very nice. Why the odd cropping?

Wow. Great capture of a classic subject.

The background is fighting you here. Your subjects don't stand out in this shot. They so seem awfully happy to see eachother though, don't they?

Sweet sign. I got a bunch of these in my portfolio, though I gotta admit, this one is pretty great.

You saw it, you caught it. Sweet.

This photograph more or less inspired me to do this:

It is the rare photo the attracts this much analysis. This shot deserves the attention.

You seem to make very astute decisions about what should be color/black & white, and sepia. This is a really effective photo. Love the Lipkin sign in back.

Nice subject for black and white study. This has a great documentary feel to it.

Was looking for a gritty, boozey quality here. Left all the sidewalk
to create an island in the dark fell. Thoughts?

David,
To your point about the sterile feel of this image, I like it. There is something too perfect about this scene, and I think the result is a plastic surreal effect that I think works. It's a great shot...I guess we take from it what we will.
a moment of time...
