First I want to say that I find this picture a very interesting shot.. the angle is cool and I love the dicotomy of softness - the girly parts - and the hard steel - even the color of the chrome and her legs have a blending flowing effect - overall a great shot Paul.

Now on a second note. I have noticed, lately that a number of people seem to be getting upset at what they consider CRUDE or Porno like.... I just hope that this is not a trend because this site may on occasion have a few pictures that are bordering on the crude or even tasteless, nevertheless, this site is a beautiful example of creative expression that I hope will not be stiffled by religious fanatics who see evil around every corner. This country has become more and more UNFREE because of so many think that they know what is BEST for all of us. The religuous right has done enough damage in the name of GOD - their GOD I might add, that I certainly do not want to see this site becoming another victim of closemindedness by a few who cannot tolerate anything that they have determined to be wrong.

Finally, I will say that I do not have anything against very religuous people, I have something against closeminded religious people who want to dictate their believes to everyone else. And lets keep GOD out of this. GOD made us all nude and GOD doesnt care if we all show each other what we look like. He doesnt care.

Ok so we can argue about whether or not this is bordering on Porno.... what is porno...not sure myself sometimes... but it gets very dangerous when people start mixing up GOD and what GOD would like and not like.... what does a NUDE have to do with religion anyway. The woman showing her genitalia maybe offensive to some people, then I say dont look at it. Again it is very dangerous to start censoring these pages for any reasons - as long as it is not illegal of course. It seems that what some people seem to be objecting to is the fact that we see things that some people dont believe should be seen in art. Is this art? What is art I will ask. To some, just a nude form is porn. I read this morning a comment on this site by someone who claims that no body parts are ever art. Who is supposed to decide that. I think we all should have a chance to make that decision ourselfs. As far as this picture, I do not consider it porn simply because I can see the WHOLE photo, I am not dwelling on a few inches of her body. It seems that some people can only see a small area of the photo and cannot see the artistic values - like the lighting which is superb - the dark sky outside - the feel of the softness of the woman and the harshness of the world she is looking at - I think the open legs create a strange dicotomy for the senses and some people cannot get beyond that.

hibiscus flowers and leaves had fallen off ..... picked them up and I

randomly composed a still life on a flat bed scanner ... after about 80

scans, I found the one I liked......

I like pictures like this....... it captures the essence of WABI SABI ..... I think the blue background is a great compliment color to the gray ochre colors of the dead flowers and grasses....... You have a very creative eye ......
