Another beautiful capture. I don't think the background is distracting - it shows something of the haunts and habits of this bird.

This is an amazing shot. The light seems to be coming from the water itself. Great job!

Love the lush green effect and the way this picture seems to surround the viewer.

Absolutely beautiful. I love this. The light is amazing.

This photo caught my eye. A very peaceful scene. The composition really works for me. The cold colors on the right and the warm color on the left seem to be part of what makes this work for me. Lots of nice photos in your gallery!

I love the warm light in this photo. Nice capture.

GREAT photo. The powder-blue cere really adds to this picture. The angle at which you took this photo and the way the bird's head is turned really works for me. Focus is spot-on.

This is actually a Hooded Merganser, not a Wood Duck. I like the reflection in this photo and the feather detail. Nice photo.

I like the color in this photo. The side lighting gives the rocks great texture. This angle invites the viewer to climb the rocks and explore. Nice photo!

Beautiful Image! The quality of the light is so soft and the focus so sharp. It gives the petals a silky quality that is just amazing.

Wow! Nice capture of a bird that is easily disturbed. The bright, yellow-green cere and the direction of the grasses adds to the intensity of the heron's stare. The common name of this bird was changed to "Green Heron" by the AOU a few years back.
