    Beautiful shot! May I ask where in Iowa did you find such a nice model. I saw many hawks along side of the road between Iowa City to the SE corner, but they don't stick around long for me to photograph. Thanks!

    DOF is a little bit short, but since this type of macro photography is very difficult, I think you did a good job on this shot!

    Thanks Julio! Thanks Sally! Since flower and bee have been photographed like a zillion times, it's hard to come up with the "original" flower. I tried to give this one an originality by bouncing the left light into the center of the flower to give it an ever-after glowing effect.

    The black background is real from the RAW image. When I developed

    this photo from the RAW file, I increased the shadow to form a solid

    black background. Thanks for your input!

    Excellent abstract! I can see a beautiful bird in the world of life and dead. My impression is that the left side of the bird symbolizes life (like a big bang that gave birth to the universe) and the right side symbolizes death (like turning into dirts and ashes as seen toward the bottom right). I think you should think of a new title for this photo because it goes much deeper than just a bird.
