I really need more practice on this type of shots. Will keep this lens for further experimentation. I could return it to the seller but the shipping cost may cost me more than the lens itself.

Thanks David! I was mounting the FD 50mm lens in reversed onto the filter ring of the 100mm Macro lens. They said that DOF was paper-thin in this type of set up and they weren't kidding. This was really hard work and the paid off (as we have seen here) is not very sharp and short DOF. I think I'm going to keep the FD 50mm lens for still life photography on tiny subject. It's way too tough for using it on the moving insects.

This is my first test shot I just did on the Canon FD 50mm f/1.4 lens

I got from eBay, yesterday. It's full frame original image; other

than applied colors saturation and adding a frame in PS, I did

nothing else to it. Thanks for your input!

Very nice backlite! Beautiful horse! Actually, horses all are beautiful, it's really up the photographer to catch them in the right moment. You did great on this photo! Best regards!

Great shot! I don't mean to nitpick on this beautiful photo, but I see some digital noises and a sensor dust; nevertheless, well done!
