Kyllölänsaari island, Lake Saimaa.
8/20/2009
I had seen nice fogs at the very early morning at the lake. Oneevening I decided to wake up just before sunrise and photograph thosebeautiful fog layers above the lake, light by rising sun.
On the evening when I woke up, there was no fog. But light wasbeautiful, so I ended up to taking this picture about hour aftersunrise (6:55am).
What do you think?

Hi,
I would like to get some comments and critique about this picture.
I had to use orange filter (#15) to get sea darker (ofcourse it
darkend the sky too), but the tradeof was bit too bright sides of the
boulders. When printing, I have to printe them down.

I was walking at the Bruges, Belgium when I saw dead bird on thefence. Don't know how it get there, probably some one picked it fromthe ground and put on the fence.
The view was quite touching and I knew at the first moment which kindof photograph I want. I tried to capture the original mood as well asI can.
Did I have any success?

Trees at Fiskars village, Pohja, Finland. 04/25/2009.
I was walking with my wife at the Fiskars, old ironworks village at
southern Finland, carrying heavy Toyo view camera set and looking for
something to photograph.
That was a first time when I visited the village so I didn't know what
to expect (of course I had seen some photographs on the internet).
It was late afternoon when I saw these bare trees from the opposite
bank of the river. I really liked the structure of the trees.
But how to photograph it? Behind the trees there was too many objects
that I didn't want to interfere the picture. Like trash bins, ...
After a short walking back and forth, I found the place where those
objects were hidden behind the trees. But still, I had to use longest
lens available, the 450mm telephoto lens (approx. 110mm equivalence
with 35mm camera lens) to keep trees as main object.
I don't know if this is bit too tight crop, perhaps 370mm telephoto
lens that I carried, would also be fine - but again, those trash bins,
parked cars, ... The composition feeled easier with tight crop that
long telephoto lens gave.

Oaks of Träskända Manor Park. Finland.
I was at evening trip on Träskända Manor Park with photo club when I
saw oak trees lit by late evening light.
Immediately I saw this picture. I quickly assembled my 4x5" field
camera and attached 210mm lens which was longest I had on my bag.
The light was quickly going off, so I have to hurry. I think that it
took less than 10 minutes from the moment I saw the trees to the point
when the film was exposed and I was taking my camera off the tripod.
That was first time ever when I visited at Träskända Mansion Park.
Eventhough I have driven past tens of times before, I never realized
how beautiful place it is.
Will do some more photography there for sure!
How about the photograph? All critique are welcome!

The Church and cannon at Suomenlinna seafortress island.
1/6/2009 Helsinki Finland
I wen't to the Suomenlinna island to looking for some brand new ice.But there was none. The breezing wind kept waves high.
The wind was so hard that photographing was real pain. Fingersfroze immediately and my dark cloth was floating in the airflow.Actually wind took some of my equipments and throw them couple of meters!
Luckily I found this view. So trip was not futile.

Had to wait almost two hours by sitting on the field until I get thisshot.
The distance to the little rabbit was about 6 meters.

I was on my way from work to railway station, this time with NikkorAI-S 300mm lens.
When I arrived to the place, where I have been photographinglitherns before, I had to wait almost 2 hours before they showed.
But I can tell that it was worth of it!
I used almost two rolls of film. This one is from Agfa Vista 400,which I was testing.
