Actually this is one of the bad negatives. I messed up the development completely, with the result that it has very little contrast. I recently purchased some bromoil pigments and chemicals, want to try out some stuff with it sometime soon. Today and tomorrow morning, in this bitter cold, I and a friend will be spending wee hours in a forest like this, looking for something to shoot :-)

I'll keep visiting, as much as my tight schedule allows me. You're in my ``interesting persons'' list (but that doesn't say much), so whenever I log on, I visit your pictures. I'm fascinated by your pictures, for one, I find your views to be quite radical and raw-sans-the-`raw'-sense (if you get what I'm trying get to, without trying to find a better synonym), and for another, in my perception your works refrain from preaching while offering no less than the truth---not often is this the case with artists. (`But then what is art?')

Just seeking a little advice on a technical front: do you think you appear a little aggressive shoving your cameras on people's faces? :-) Sometimes I just don't feel like taking a picture which is worth it simply for fear of intruding on spaces. Of course one cannot give unless one steals first, and perhaps nowhere this philosophy is more appropriate than in street photography.

I believe you're looking for stories in my pictures; I don't like stories, so I don't take pictures which speak volumes, rather simple expressions, simple truthful moments, which can either be dismissed as trivial, or, in the rare case, can be identified with. For me that polythene bag has as much significance as the few missing tiles below the tree; it exists, and therefore is in the frame. I'm not trying to make any statements here. I hope this clarifies things.

ominously looming over them---that makes a picture!!! C'mon... gimme a
