Hi Keith, the login page has ad banner too. It will be nice can have an ad free entry point for paid member, such as: members.photo.net
-
I used to put photo.net link on my website home page, when I was trying to join some of the affiliate programs, got rejected since link to the nude content.

There are some issues with the rating interface. If the picture size is bigger than 680 pixels in width, it will be resized and the image quality degrades. I might rate my own picture 3/3. Also, people might think this is just a P&S.
-
Hi Stephen, there are more than enough raters. Check this. All we need is make direct rating anonymous too. Word "7/7" should be filtered out from the comments.

$25 can cover 2000GB/yr for bandwidth and at least 1GB space these days. The default TRP should be for the paid member only, not only the pictures, but also the ratings. If anyone wants to play the game, got pay for it.
-
Did you mean: rating :) It's human error, not the system. My answer is: NO.
-
It won't count if you logged in.

You can use the same solution for the lens. Instaed of using cotton pins, I use microfiber cloth, wrap it on top the Q-Tips. There is a piece of glass in front of the sensor, I don't think methanol is strong enough for etching.

As Frank said: "Use a strong air blower like Giotto's Rocket Air, or another brand "Hurricane". DO NOT buy Hakuba, you will get more dust. Before use it to the sensor, squeeze it several times, make sure there is no more dust inside the blower.

In order to get the correct color, you should use the profile for that printer. If you or your friend has Costco membership (assume you live in the US), $2.99 is the price for 11x14 or 12x18. The printer's profile for each local store could be downloaded here.

F/2 won't work, the gym doesn't have enough light, the color won't be right, even you shoot raw.

The macro capability is the selling point for the Sigma lens. Teleconverter is normally used on the high end lens, possible to use it, but the image quality will drop. If you need the range, get the Sigma 50-500mm EX DG for Pentax.

The result from your Pro1 is not as the same as the dedicate macro lens, here are 2 examples (Canon 100mm macro, no crop):

Maybe you can try the 2x convertor for the 200mm f/1.8, the 400mm f/5.6 or the 100-400mm. Why the 300mm with the 1.4x?
-
You can use Canon 50mm f/1.8, Kenko Tubes (all 3), B+W +10 Close-Up and external flash (off shoe). A sample: http://www.photo96.com/yongbo/20050624_crw_7422_a.htm Canon 100mm f/2.8 is a very sharp lens, just bought one few days ago, here is a test image, it's the keypad on the Sony-Ericsson phone.

The Panasonic FX-01 works well in low light condition without tripod, or you can put Canon Powershot A620 on tripod with long exposure.

Hi Tim, some of the low raters took really good pictures, such as the one who enjoyed your frog soup, but not all the good photographers willing to share, this also apply to the same person, but I can learn from the picture (if it's in reasonable size).

Hi Brian, my subscription just expired, but I still have the patron's icon and
full member's privileges. I was able to submit 3 pictures for critique last
night. Is it a bug or just the grace period? I will renew after you look into
this bug. Btw, is it possible to make rater's name available for paid member? I
might be able to learn something from those who gave me low ratings. Thanks.
-
It only shows the most frequently-rated photos.
-
The image quality is not that great. A text link above my biography would be better.

Hi Matt, the same might happen to your web hosting, noticed that you parked the domain with Wiltsweb. If you post large size pictures for clients, I will recommend GoDaddy.com (transfer the domain), they have options from 250GB-1000GB per month, cheap rate, but excellent customer service. Btw, do you have a VOIP phone or something like Skype?
-
It must be "Submitted/Uploaded" on 13 May 2006, and requested for critique on different days.
IE 7 issue?
