Another point... it isnt just the machines and chemicals, its the person doing the work. When I shot film regularly, I would only go to one store when I knew that a specific person was working. If she wasnt there, then the film would wait.

Are you using a finder with a seperate speed dial? If so, take it off and check again. Lens set to timed mode? Weak battery?

Dont forget to fill out a 4457 before you go. Unless you want to pay import on the stuff you bring back into the county.

Getting legal advice here is chancy at best. You should consult a lawyer to get a clean answer.

Pacific Rim Camera had some the last time I looked

If you are using hotlights, none. (Sorry had to put that in) If you are using flash, what you need at minium is a PC cord that connects from the PC connecter on your camera (top right of the body I beleive if you have the camera in front of you) to the primary flash. The rest of the flashes would be slaved into that one, firing when it fires. Make sure the cord is of sufficent length so you can move as needed and that you have more than one of them, they tend to break at the most inopportune moments.
If you wanted to be fancier there are radio slave flashes you can use. The transmitter would still plug into the PC connection on your camera and the reciever would plug into the studio flash. A bit more expensive but gives you freedom of movement and one less wire to trip over.

If you have high speed internet, take a look at www.download.com, they might have one available

Another thing to try is to have her lean into the camera... it reduces the extra skin under the chin.

For a FP shutter, its the fastest shutter speed available where the first shutter curtain has opened completly, but the second curtain hasnt moved. This allows the light from the flash to be registered on the film. Usually its 1/60th of a second, but some have 1/30th 1/125 or 1/250th.
For a leaf shutter, it syncs at any speed

If you do go overseas with a lot of camera equiment its best to get it registered at Customs before you leave the country. I believe its form 4457.

This is to prevent you from getting charged import duties if the agent believes that you purchased your equipment abroad.

Thats assuming you are in the United States, if you are, good. If not look at your nations laws, there may be some differences.

Besides holding lights and changing film backs, being another set of eyes for the photographer, and guarding the equipment.

Its the small tab next to the apature numbers on the lens. I forget if its pushed forward or back but it willclick into place. That should address your issue.

Hey I have a couple of 8" floppy drives.... just isnt in the budget to upgrade yet. And its a real pain getting CS2 to work in CPM :)

Purpleish cast is normal in my experience with 120 file. What I do to counter is is pre-soak the filem in water for 1-2 min before adding the developer.

I have that problem as well (so its not just you). My theory, which I havent had the opportunity to prove yet, is that the backing paper and or the spools are fractionally off. With me it is happeinging with multiple cameras and multiple backs.

You can find a manual here though here. http://www.butkus.org/chinon/vivitar_flashes/vivitar_flash_units.htm

You really need to find a local accountant. Local to you I mean.

By the description on the roll it sounds like formapan. Last stuff I deveoped had a green/blue that dissappeared when it was drying.

There are a couple of threads on this already. An example is

When out shooting with Rolleis I would get comments similar to "Hey thats what my (insert title of older, usually male, often deceased relative) used to shoot with. That brings back memories!

I agree as well, its a standard screw-in release.
A word of advise, get two. In past experience, the damm things hide when you need them the most. And they do break on rare occasions
