Really very nice. I think the immediacy of the image is great, as are the various visual textures.

Closest thing to a "quick draw" photo I ever took. Guestimated the

distance before turning and firing... had a feeling the guy wouldn't

be there long enough for me to focus, and I was right. He was gone

in an instant. First photo I ever took that felt really obtrusive

to me - I wouldn't be a good press guy :-). Pushed processing for

grain (really for another photo on the roll, but was pretty pleased

with the effect here.) Thanks in advance for comments.

Really nice - sort of an etherial dive-bomber effect. He must have been almost on top of you with the 15mm!

Yeah, if memory serves it was 3200. I was hoping the grain would enhance the graphic effect - but you're right, the loss of details in the highlights is regrettable. Thanks for the comment.

Although it ended up looking kind of posed, this was a spontaneous

photo taken at a friend's wedding.

Thanks for the comments! Actually, the blending effect was my specific intention, but it's obviously not working if it's just coming across as looking like a mistake. Live and learn - thanks again for the comments! (I hope I'm using this comment field appropriately)

Dog on bed - not much else to add.

Late in the evening, close to sunset.

Was amazed by the surreal clouds hanging low over the beach. I like

the way the Canon Elf gets extremely contrasty in certain situations.
