Thanks for the comments. Yeah, I think it's one of those cases where it's kind of ambiguous as to whether not it should be viewed in an abstract way. I.e., a little to real to be abstract and a little to abstract to be taken literally. I don't think I'd hang it on my wall either, but it was a fun exercise :-) Thanks again for the comments!

Nice idea - I particularly like the "drain" effect of the window shape.

Err... I mean lemonade from lemons! :-)

An attempt at making lemons from lemonade! Thanks in advance for
comments.

Quite beautiful... I can almost feel the air getting thing!

Very nice - I like the contrasting colors as well as the various vertical axes, all a little bit askew in a way that makes the photo lively - in keeping with the subject matter.

Nothing to add - ran across this while looking at Christmas lights.

This is really, really nice. Colors, composition, texture, humor - the whole nine yards. Great job.

Great shot. The isolation and grain really seem to contribute to the sensuous nature of this photo.

Very, very nice. The compositional elements bring a very nice movement to this photo. Attached FYI is a photo I recently took that is a different take on a similar idea, but not nearly as successful :-)

Nice shot, really like the gentle tones of this photo - they compliment the subject well.

Really like the stark simplicity. I'd burn in the lower part of the arm a little, though. Nice shadows on the hands, and I like how the needles jump out. I might have left a smidge more space with the cropping. I'm not sure if I understand the technique you reference... is this a contact print of a transparency?

Cranked the contrast on this tidal photo and decided I liked it
better somewhat abstracted... thanks in advance for comments!

Kind of a neat effect - what accounts for the cirular piece? As a nitpick I'd try to make the dark part of the left side equal to that of the right. Original idea!

Jean, evidently from much of the feedback you'll have to take the photo in a less optimal light next time so the green isn't "oversaturated." :-) The oversaturation thing is an easy assumption to make, I suppose, for those never having been blessed with seeing something this vivid in real life... especially if they didn't browse your previous comments. Great shot.

I hope you got a model release from that fish...

IMHO this photo is *all* about the light, which I think is absolutely wonderful. The subject matter for me is a distant, vaguely comical afterthought. Sadly, my toilet photo missed out on the adulation (snif,) but maybe in the wake of Johannes and Duchamp it might mean I'm destined for greatness :-). Very nice work, Johannes!

Nice contrast between the foreground detail and the gradual onset of the fog.
