<p>The one I have is a Focal ( K-Mart) 35mm f2.8 Preset that gives a certain glow to shinny things, caused by some abberation defect, I suppose. I guess there are reasons to have cheap lenses!........Jim</p>

<p>Well, I suppose to be honest I should pick the lens I use the most. It's The Tamron XR 28-200 f4-f5.6. The one that just came out right before they started making them for digital. I use it on a Pentax K20d. Jim</p>

<p>Missy, when your 1.4 gets back you should be satisfied. getting a 1.2 isn't the answer, and large format are usually no match for a 35mm lens, when blown up 10 or 12 times. Monopods are better,solid tripods are the best for sharpness........Jim</p>

<p>I might as well give you my 2 cents worth.......I've been using Pentaxs since 1970....Only had a problem with a Pentax 50 1.4A when I droppd it a few inches onto my copy stand........(2) when at the age of 14, my LX (Bought it New in 1980 or 81,...It had it's shutter, got to delaying occassionly before firing, would stick , but has been fine since I sent to Pentax, and they sent it back promptly.............Jim</p>

<p>Hey thanks everyone........I have had Pentax equipment ever since 1970and was very happy with all the bodies and lenses that I've had........as far as Pentax digital is concerned(mine was a *ist DL, good camera) but I just wanted one that had multi-exposure and another feature or two with 14+ mp as well.........Jim</p>

<p>Hello Paolo, You ask if I had the 1:1 adapter.......sure do.......Just a note, one time I copied a very small(about 3/4"X 7/8" old but very sharp school picture ) and made an 8x10 from it that I liked pretty well and it looked good to me using that lens......sometime I will shoot some comparison shots with the Series I and a Sigma 70-300 APO that I also have and satisfy my curiousity........Jim</p>

<p>For me, and as mentioned earlier, a tripod has got to be my first consideration that is plenty stong enough for the camera and lens you use.......For lens, something like a 18-55 kit lens should do pretty well.......Jim</p>

<p>Hello again Kermit, Yes I will post some of the IR photos shot with the K20......I have a number of IR shots taken during the last couple summers with my Sony 828.......I would not call any of them any to great though........but perhaps some worth looking at........Jim</p>

<p>I also just got a Pentax 70 f2.4, Without actually being able to test it as I once did with my lenses for 35mm with my Air Force targets from my Modern Photography Test Kit......I'm still very happy with it.......I am becoming more and more convenced that a lens' resolution is not as important with digital as it is with film........My Thoughts on it........Jim</p>

<p>Hey gang, I wouldn't get to carried away with the appearent sharpness of new and expensive lenses....I just gave close to $500 for a 70 f2.4 that is a good lens and does exactly what I bought it for, but I realy can't say it is a bit sharper than my 55f1.8 that I was previously using.........The 55 was made in the late '70s or early '80s.......Jim</p>
