I would try Rodinal 1:50 22.5 min.,68 degrees. This is from an old Rodinal data sheet. My experience is that your negatives will be very hi-contrast without shadow detail so try printing at the lowest contrast you can.Don't expect much, good luck. p.s. D-76 1:1 for 22min.@ 68 degrees should work as well.

Spot meter horizontal snow that has no glare from the sun on it and place it on Zone VII.

I would use a ZoneII pre-exposure.This will noticably increase shadow detail.

I've been using Pentax 35's since 1970 and tested many lenses with my "Modern Photography Lens Testing Kit"and read the lines per mm with a microscope at 50X.The story in a nut-shell is this:without testing nobody could tell the difference between 11X14's taken with any 50/55mm Pentax lens. But since you ask here's the dope(lenses of my own at sharpest f-stop and area):Super Takumar 55f1.8(88 l/mm center&edge@f8);Super Takumar SMC 55f1.8(80 center&edge@f8&11);Pentax 50f2(64 center,72 edge);SMC Pentax 50f1.7(88 center&corner@f5.6);SMC Pentax 50f1.4(Modern's test score 80 center f5.6&8,63 corner f5.6&8),also have a SMC Pentax M Macro 50f4 that I've not tested but it makes tack sharp 1:1 slide copies. The 55s were screw mounts, the rest are K-mount.If I shot exactly the same photo, with say, my LX on a rock solid tripod, same f-stop(5.6,8,or11) and shutter speed, only changed lenses;no one could see any difference, period. That's my dope.
