i agree, it's very very nice. i think it might have been nicer if you had gotten just a little bit more detail on the poles

i like it. my only gripe is that i wish it weren't so flat, though i'm not sure if that was intentional or not.

i think you're completely right about the distractions, and it's something i noticed later. i was focusing more on the lighting while i was doing it, so i missed that. thanks for the comment

Been experimenting with strobes a bit recently. She's lit with a DIY

gridspot out of coroplast (plastic cardboard, basically - used for

campaign signs a lot) on a flash and another flash pointed at the

ceiling.

 

Appreciate any comments on the lighting, especially.

Thanks for any comments. I had this on a piece of acrylic with a

plastic table cloth on top of it, with a flash shooting underneath

it. Another flash was near the end of the neck with a homemade snoot.

i think this is my favorite of the series. it looks like the head is emerging out of/sinking in to the water, since the neck fades out.

To me, it looked like with the whole cart in view it might be drawing too much attention to the road in the background, but I'm not settled on that thought.

I'm attaching a suggestion for this image. Basically, I adjusted the levels midtones to bring out some more detail in the areas that are almost completely shadows, and also dodged the highlights in those areas. I also cloned out the green streak.
