What kind of sound you get if you pull on the chaine of the big black bell on the right hand side?

    What will happen then....I don't know...I may never risk to try!!!!If I don't try,I will never know....

    Yuri....did you ?

  1. To answer to "croping or not croping" I will refer to the first comment on this page, by Thierry.Imaging if I crope around the subject, Laurie would not be riding in the ocean as Thierry said.

I almost can say I never crope my picture. In this specific case, for me to have the big rock full, was important, but to get the tiny one (upper right) was important as well.Actually I was working with my 2OOmm f2.8 canon lens, and I could not go futher back. If I could I would probably have put even more space around Laurie, my main subject. And here, Jennifer is right as well, Laurie should not be right in the middle, but I could not do that without cutting the big rock.Just to say, I had to make a choice, and I thought at that time, the big rock compensate for the model to be right in the middle of the frame.

So with some immagination, as Thierry says, Laurie seems like riding this big rock to the ocean.

And for the story, just after this picture, I grab the three legs of my tripod, hushering it with the camera and lens well over my shoulder....and then the camera with the heavy 200mm fell on one of these big granite rocks.

Camera was dead (I had a spare one with me), the Lens was dead (no spare of course), and the photographer a bit frustrated.

Ok...you know almost everything...about this picture...

Thanks again....and ...keep smiling to life...life will smile to you, where ever there is light, there is a picture to take...

Great shot Simon, I hesitated between 7/7 or 6/6, then I decided for 7/7, as it's difficult for me not to like fully.I'm not fun about stamping pictures, but If the specific day i'm doing a shooting, the unfortunate model happen to have a bad night, or any temporaly mosquito bite or else, there is nothing wrong about correcting it, I often prefer this to make-up.

I definitly think you should upload again after correcting her left eye.

    Thanks anyway, whatever you do!

    Regards Jean-Paul,
