I was on Jacques-Cartier bridge taking shots of a cyclist event in
Montr顬 when I decided to experiment with depth of field. Is this
just a silly picture?

My last picture of the cattails series. Thank you for commenting.

Another of the cattails series. Please veiew large.

thanks kai for your comments.

I had to look at this one for a fair amount of time to realize that this was actually a decent picture; well composed, mostly monochrome, blue with a touch of the complementary, yellow. I don't know what to think of your pictures from the series "Duwamish Valley". They're very good at expressing how painfully drab life can be. What is that place anyways?

Thank you for your comments.

thanks for the insight.

Could you burn the sky in a little bit? Otherwise a very beautiful picture.

I'm working on this new series of photographs, "Snow covered marsh"
which will be used later to elaborate a series of paintings. I'm
focusing on composition. thanks for commenting.

To me it looks like an eye. good shot.
-
What do you think of the composition? Regards.
-
very poetic. I love those stars.

James my negative was well exposed, I just pushed the darkness in Photoshop because I wanted to have a dark snow and a perfectly flat silhouette.
-
hilarious!

Beautiful picture, I like the tone of blue and the delicate texture of the cloud. I'm a bit uncomfortable with the subject right in the middle. I have a question; how do you paste a picture directly in the comments? Thanks.

I still like the glare.
-
i like the glare on the lense. good shot.
-
Good shot. I would push it a little bit to make the overall picture slightly darker.

I was writing an article a few years back about homelessness and
interviewed Gilles about his daily routine and his life in general.
He's just a regular guy who took a couple too many turns.

I really like the colors and the texture of the snow. Did you scan the negative or the print? I just started scanning color negatives and the result is very flat. do you have any pointers for me on that matter? Thanks.

Mondiabi; this image is not manipulated. I was located on the bridge about 400 feet over sainte-catherine street and I stuck my foot through the railing. I'm using a 80mm lens. It was a very sunny day so I used a rather fast speed and a small aperture to preserve the depth of field.
One small incident occured while I was taking this shot: my big berkinstock sandal fell on the ground below...
