    Fire 2

          3
Hey Will - thanks for your comments. I haven't actually played with fire photos enough but your words are encouraging - I'll try the flash and longer shutter speed thing. I've also got a Canon 300D so I'll be able to afford to take photos and learn without burning a hole in my pocket from the expense. - just on my sisters photos - yeah that's me and I think that I'll photoshop it out...
  1. Hi there, I didn't really think that this belonged under

architecture but it seemed the best option. Please tell me what you

think of the composition/lighting. Thank you ;o)

  2. This is a photo that I took of some friends performing in their Glow

suits. Obviously I didn't want to use my flash as it would have

defeated the purpose of the glow suits. Please let me know what you

    think ...

I took this with a Canon IXUS 400. I am wanting to better my event

photography skills and I would like some constructive comments

please. If you are going to rate low I would appreciate an

explanation otherwise don't bother because I am here to learn...

    cheers :o)

  3. Hi Eric,

thank you very much for you comment, I was just about to give hope up on any help from anyone on this website as no-one seems to leave comments all they do is rate. I want to learn and you have been most helpfull!

  4. Hi there - so you think that the flash is ok then? I was thinking that it might not be pleasing to the eye because of the red shadows... I'll keep the type of angle in mind - thank you for your comment, glad that someone listened to my question ;o)
  5. Hi there, if anyone has got some advice/help then please provide

comments - it's not to be rated...

I would like to know what film would be the best to use to avoid

this "red shadow" thing that's going on.

I would like to avoid using a flash also - what shutter speed and

aperature would you recommend for indoor event shots such as this.

Or do I have no choice in the matter and should I opt for a very

fast film and use my camera on night mode with a slow flash?

Any helpful comments would be appreciated.

    Thank you

Hi there, the lens that I used was the 78-300mm I will have to check which film it was ;o) In regards to the detail in the cats fur - this is pretty much it - she is part burmese but its only in really bright sunlight that you can see any detail of the stripes.

She wasn't after much by the way - she was just munching on the grass ;o)
