This is my first shot of Mt. Adams from the small town of Trout Lake,
Washington, where I spent the summer. Submitting this to share with
everyone and for critique on the image as well. Thanks for your time
and comments/ratings. Dustin.

what a wonderful image, I think it would not be as strong without the human elements included. Was the lighting difficult to capture?

Yes the light at 4am after drinking was inspiring this night. Mt Adams is one of the least light polluted areas in Washington State.
There is a poem that I wrote to go alont with this photo which I will share.
Like moonlit dawns silent fade
forever on in light we bathe
confused by the suns scattered rays
we move upon the the path you pave
The trout will jump and birds will sing
fooled once a month to do this thing.
Thanks for your feedback

I feel this is a great scene but it would have more impact emotionally if u added a human element. Maybe a man alone practicing or sitting on the bball?

Hi, great image! really nice composition and color. I think it needs a tad more depth of field though, to bring the bottom of the 2 half focused leafs in, as well as to add some sharpness to the petals closest to the lense.

were the fish jumping???

i think this would have more impact in black and white. the variation in tone in the fore ground and sky, plus the high contrast where the land is in the middle all would work well in BW. also in color there isnt alot of "color impact".
great shot though and i love the 3 seperate vertical elements (tree, house) and bush).

great shot, i like it very much, esp the face he is making! lose the title on the border though...

a fill flash to add some detail to the foreground could possibly be nice, but i like it how it is too. only thing that kinda bugs me is the no horizontal horizon, which could be fixed easy.

good idea but i think it is slightly over expoused.

Interested in comments and suggestions. I was working with another
photographer at this time which limited my shooting somewhat he was
offscreen to the left.
