nice scene, good capture, but i feel the composition is too heavy on the left to make this really work. also the horizon could be straightened a hair. peace
-
Please provide your opinions! Is this image balanced? Does the
composition work?
-
I love the color scheme!
-
A little over saturated for me, but a great composition anyways. The images works well! Chow!

I think the composition is spot on! very wonderful image.

Wonderful composition. Is this photo unmanipulated? If so, awesome work at finding great light. I lvoe the 2 deep shadowed trees directly in the center of the frame. it makes a nice anchor for my eyes.

A fresh persepective of the Ponderosa Pine towering out of the Spokane
River Canyon, shot from the West rim. Please feel free to comment on
this image! Feedback helps me to improve my photography, which is my
main goal. Thanks, Dustin.

I might consider cropping it at the top a little. to me it feels slightly unbalanced in its composition and i dont thinking cropping down the sky takes away anything important.

Thank you. The spot was one I had shot a few years ago and I decided to revisit it during identical lighting conditions as the last time. I think I had much more success this time.
For the light, I used a flashlight and hand painted the foreground. I wish I had a little more light in the top of the tree, and I may need to dodge it some now that I think about it.

The hoh is better ;p, unless its raining :) which is always :0
this image needs more contrast and saturation, in my opinion.
landed a nice native buck yesterday in E. WA

I love it. A interesting twist and great execution on a composition that is used by many. Good to see a traditional style with a twist. One of the best seascapes I have viewed in a while. Cheers!

Thanks Paul, I shot this one morning after climbing out of a snowcave while on a wilderness skiing expedition in the Absorka Wilderness, south of Yellowstone National Park. We were out for 15 days and this is one of my favorites from the trip. Shot on an olympus 1030 SW, point and shoot.

Looking for constructive feedback and your opinions! Shot while hiking
in the North Cascades, Washington. Thanks, Dustin.

Looking for constructive feedback and critiques, or just your feelings
on this photo. This was shot at Turnbull National Wildlife refuge. Thanks

Wonderful Landscape.
I think the telephot lense is perfect for visually stacking all the varied tones onto each other. Combine that with a surreal inversion and its fog effect, and the light streaming in via the tree tops. This is a prime example of finding that perfect lighting situation and matching it perfectly to the scene in terms of composition.
I would be very intersted to hear the story of how you came about capturing this one. Was it a planned out spot? Spur of the moment frenzy? A local place you pass often?

Thanks for viewing. I used this tipi as a chance to teach others about
my favorite form of photography, hand painting light.
We used 2 headlamps for this image. It is a great way to get a new
photographer to understand how light intensity changes with distance
and time also plays on intensity.

Shot this last winter with a combo of ambient and rear sync flash.
Looking for constructive feedback and your opinions of this shot.
Thanks for taking a look! I know there is a noise issue, but shooting
with a d70 you just have to make due.
-
Thanks for all your kind words! I wish I could have shot this scene wider.

i agree but I did not have the time or equipment with me to set up a remote flash for the shot. This was supposed to happen with more light but it took the snowboarder longer to prepare then expected.

There was some foreground obstructions that would have possibly bade stiching difficult, but ill keep the idea in midn for the future.
