1.
Hi
Last week I was shooting the exterior of a predominantly white building and set the camera to Tv (shutter priority)- shot the scene at 1/125, f/4 at 400 ISO and the building was nicely exposed. I then set the camera to Av (aperture priority), set the f stop to f/4 and shot at 400 ISO and the picture was overexposed. Shouldn't the camera be compensating here when the ISO and the f stop are as before?
Thanks

  2.
Thanks.
I've narrowed my choice down to:
24-70mm f/2.8L
Tamron 17-50mm
Sigma 17-50
Since I already have a 10-22 and shoot interiors with that, I need something that I can get nice portraits and , well, close-ups with ( I already have the 55-250).
I usually like to get a great lens and keep it but is it that big a deal to own an L :-) ? I'm leaning towards the Sigma or the Tamron. Will appreciate any comments. Thanks.

How about a meter? I mostly use the M mode on my camera. This morning I was shooting the exterior of a predominantly white building and set the camera to Tv (shutter priority)- shot the scene at 1/125, f/4 at 400 ISO and the building was nicely exposed. I then set the camera to Av (aperture priority), set the f stop to f/4 and shot at 400 ISO and the picture was overexposed. Shouldn't the camera be compensating here when the ISO and the f stop are as before?
If I had to get a meter for metering the light indoors, which one should I look for? Thanks.

  4.
Hi,
I will be shooting interiors of restaurants, bookstores, and gallery spaces owned by acquaintances and friends.
I use a Canon 400D, 55-250, 10-22 lens, a tripod, monopod, a 580 EX II speedlite and a RC-5 remote release for Canon. I also have 2 slave flashes that are locally made but work well with the speedlite.
What else do I need to get the light right in the spaces I mentioned above? I'd appreciate any advice on diffusers, lights, etc. My budget is limited and I wouldn't want to get expensive lights right away - besides not knowing what to do with them.

Thanks.

  5.
Hi
I've started shooting interior spaces with my Canon 400D and a 10-22. I've noticed I get a lot of negative spaces with a lot of foreground in my pictures.
For those who have used the 10 -22 indoors, are there any tips that I should be aware of while shooting?
Thanks

  6.
Hi
I'm currently shooting architecture and interiors and use the Canon 10-22 and 55-250 on my Canon 400D.
I often feel constrained when I'm shooting other things such as street, or people and events.
I definetely need another lens for such occasions. What is a good all purpose Canon lens? Something that will fit on a high end Canon DSLR when I decide to get one?
Thanks.

  7.
Hi,
I have to shoot a dance troupe (indoors) in a few weeks - I've never done this before, I usually shoot architecture. I have a Canon EOS 400D and the kit 18-55, 10-22 and 55-250 lenses.
I'm not sure if the 10- 22 is a good lens for dance, I don't use the kit 18-55 anymore. I can rent a lens for a few days - which one should I be looking at ?
Thanks

  8.
Hi,

I just got myself a Speedlite 580 EX II, and when I attach that to my 400D, the little compatibility icon (listed in the manual, it's a little rectangular shape) does not appear on the Speedlite's LCD panel. I've tried my lenses - 18-55,55-250 and 10-22 on the camera but the icon does not appear.
The speedlite is functioning normally otherwise so I wonder why the compatibility sign is not showing up on the LCD panel.
I recently got my camera repaired from the service center - they changed the cover assembly (the on/off switch) and a PCB and finder unit. Could this have anything to do with it?
Thanks

  9.
Gary - I think it's a cheap improvisation, and there's only one place on the camera it can go !
Was working well for a couple of weeks, maybe I'll try powering on the camera with a new battery pack or just take it to the Canon center. Hopefully, the damage is minimal :-)
