  1. I need to buy a very nice tent for outdoor art shows. I have used

ezups for a while...but as we all know these are cheap tents that

help get us started in the art show biz. I need a website where i

can buy a very nice tent with walls, top, weights, etc. please help.

I have searched in google...but all i find is junk.

please include what type of tent you all use.

    thanks,

    patrick

  2. Does anyone know of a good online directory for photography/fine art

galleries around the U.S.? I have been using search engines...but

as we all know, these return a bunch of crap with few solid hits.

Im interested mainly in the southeast....new orleans, atlanta,

    jacksonville, birmingham...etc.

Im trying to approach galleries with some 30x40 giclees made of my

images. These will be gallery wrap, gloss coated, ready to go. Any

    opinions on photography giclees????

Check out my site, see if you think this might fly with my images.

  3. i have done b&w work for a long time in the darkroom. I just bought a

beseler 45 with color head. I want to enlarge some color prints, need

some help to get started. what are the basics, chemicals, paper,

etc. that i will need to get going? any other tips, pointers, and

    advice are greatly appreciated.

    thanks,

    patrick

  4. Im looking for panel displays for my art tent. Does anyone know of a

company who sells these. I have found one, www.propanels.com, which

seems to be pretty popular. Im just wondering if there are any other

options that might be cheaper. Propanels costs 1200 bucks to run

panels around the perimiter of a 10x10 booth, and that includes

shipping and all the extra parts for stability.

Im also looking at the lightdome art tent. Anyone use it? what do

you think? if you have any suggestions on other tents to look at

    please let me know.

If anyone has any ideas, they will be greatly appreciated.

  6. I use decor-frame located in south florida for my sectional metal frames. They are great to work with.

for bags, i use a company called crystal clear bags. (search for that on yahoo, they should come up)they have a tenessee office.

    mats, i use worldviewpictures.com or worldviewpic.com (california)

they custom cut any mats you want in large qnts, quickly and cheap.

if you find any of these of use, please let them know i referred you.

  7. I am looking into purchasing a digital slr for myself. I have looked

at Canon EOS 10D, which seems like a good camera. I currently shoot

with a mamiya 645 for my b&w work, but I want a dslr for color work.

any suggestions??? I want to get a good package with a lens and flash

    card.

I want one with at least 6 megapixels, so that I dont have to worry

about upgrading in a few years.

anyone know how big you can blow up pix with 6 mpxls??? Some camera

descriptions say 20x30? I figured you could maybe pull off a very

    fine looking 16x20.

    thanks

  8. I have two friends that are brothers who want me to take some black

and white pictures of them together with their 3 dogs for their mom.

They want some outdoor portraits at the beach, to have a nice

background. I need some advice on when and how to shoot these

pictures. I am shooting with a mamiya 645, with delta 400 film. (is

    400 ok, or should i use 100?)

I figured we should shoot the picture on a overcast, or slightly

cloudy day, so that shadows will not be too harsh and the light will

be even. I have NO flashes, i will just be using the afternoon sun,

with a homemade reflector to fill shadows.

If anyone can give me some tips on how to do this job the best way

possible i would appreciate it. I have a pretty good idea about what

i need, i just want to do it perfectly with the resources i have.

    thanks alot.

  9. I was loading a negative into my enlarger today and as I was doing

so, some water, from somewhere, got onto the emulsion side of the

neg. As a result, this formed a waterspot and lightened the emulsion

in this one spot in the sky. Now this negative, from the other side

    of the world, is ruined.

Is there any kind of rewashing or something I could do to this

negative to make it back to normal. Anything I could touch it up

with. I thought about washing it in a tray with some photo-flo, and

then dry it. I dont know. Please help

    thanks,

    marco esquandolas

  10. I am working on a project...shooting a martini glass still life. I

shot the first roll of film (delta 400, 120 film) (developed in d76

1:0)and the grain is real bad. Im trying to enlarge the prints to

20x24, which is not that big for a medium format negatives.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to reduce the grain alot, so that

    i have a very sharp 20x24 image.

    thanks alot.
