  1. See the post on this thread subsequent to your own. I know you are a friend of Glen's so I see no point responding to your post.
  2. Now that I am posting mainly on FaBo, I have come to appreciate how nice it is to be able to come back and fix spelling and grammar errors long after you have made the post. Of course, that also means you can make material changes to content which may not be all that bad a thing.
  3. Fred, You'll probably be getting a job offer any day now to help debug the system.
  4. I am always a bit chagrined that so few members express outrage at what is going on here. Maybe we are the only members left who have paid our dues. Or maybe it is like another situation in our Republic - people have grown so used to being fed sh-t that they just accept it.
  5. I think I heard that PN is no longer accepting renewal payments. The service is free to all until all the bugs are fixed.
  6. HR, Stuff like this is TOP SECRET. Good luck in getting an answer.
  7. Lot's of luck Sanford. PN can't deal with the BIG problems much less a small one like this.
  8. For instance, make it more prominent that at any given point in time there are fewer than 35 members on the site. It used to be over 300 on average. And when I want to look at my portfolio, PN has mastered the art of jamming ads in on every other row of MY images. but you can't figure out how to make it EASy for me to move one of my photos from one one gallery to another or resequence my galleries. No more excuses PN. For god's sakes, FIX things. Everything is in SHAMBLES.

  10. "We will have an update of changes that have occurred in the last month and give you some visibility on what our engineers are tackling by tomorrow evening. Its a small team and admin is even smaller so we are wearing many hats. There have been improvements but everyones list is different. We appreciate your patience." DID I MISS THIS REPORT??? i am out of patience. How can things have gotten so hopelessly f..ked up? Tonight I am trying to move photos from one gallery to another. It used to be SO EASY.
  11. Glen, I feel your pain but struggle to extend sympathy. We have essentially gone from a plain vanilla but functional website to a jazzy one with a host of dysfunctional features and laborious navigation. My non-photography friends used to drop by on a regular basis to check out my work. But now they say it is no longer worth the struggle. In July I will turn 70. I have had heart surgery twice. I have most likely lived over 90% of my life, maybe more. Every morning I wake up being thankful that I did indeed, wake up. Since 2004, I have bet the ranch that on PN. It is the repository for my photography and I have spent considerable time and effort writing backstories for many of my travel images I had been waiting for the last 3 or 4 years for v2 to come online so that I could do some reorganization and clean-up.However, v2 makes the task of resequence folders and moving images around even more tedious than it once was. I page through my PN "friends" list and am saddened by how many have disappeared into the night. The task of making comments involves clumsy navigation. And, then there is the departure of the ratings system. A couple of weeks ago a woman whom I gather is a friend of yours, entered a post in this thread asking very politely why I expressed so much anger toward you and PN management and taunted you so much in my posts about the failures of v2.. Before I could answer, the post had been removed (or, at least, I can't find it). You might tell her that Dead Man Walking has now replied and bring her attention to this post. Thanks, Jim
  12. Eddy, Given the sad state of affairs here, this is the last place I would be shopping for equipment insurance. GJ

    OTSU-ENEA

    Pretty scene, nicely composed.
  14. Maybe PN uses same IT Website Development company in India that British Airways uses. BA site crashed last night and their entire worldwide network of flights has been canceled until further notice. God Save the Queen.
  15. Enjoyed both the presentation and Norman's missives. Even a wretched parent occasionally spawns an admirable child. Thanks to Sandy and the authors of the comments.
  16. The Natives (once know as customers or members) are restless. Which bugs were fixed this week? From roughly 2005 until 2009 the Generals provided Natives with a report every week (or, at least, a couple time per month) about which bugs were recently fixed and which were being worked on. Natives always thought fixes should be happening faster but the regular reports dramatically reduced the number of angry outbursts at the Generals. Something to put in Generals' peacepipe.
  17. Most recent landslide was the most damaging. Labor Day is best estimate I have seen for a fix. One resort is giving free helicopter rides to patrons who are intent on visiting.
  18. The photo gets off to a bad start with the hand across the face and goes downhill from there. Sincerely, G.J. Vulture, aka Jack the Ripper
  19. Dear Mary, Thanks for submitting your Requests to Fix Bugs. They have been assigned request numbers 4,196 & 4,197. I project that they will be addressed in the Spring of 2024. That's all for now; a shipment of bananas just arrived.
  20. Rust from lack of use is the probable cause of this function's failure.
  21. I strongly doubt that anyone is performing the Account Approval function these days. All resources are being devoted to the Not Fixing Bugs function.
