  1. Thanks so much for expressing your feelings. I was struck by the visual  of seemingly 'endless graves' of service men and women. I often wander through here when I ride my bike.  The cemetery is quite striking in of itself and frequently the San Francisco fog does this around late afternoon.  I've noticed as I pass by. It is very close to the Golden Gate Bridge.

This scene took my breath away.

  2. I think we could actually cash in on some of our work. My email and phone info are always on my www.xart.com website in case all else fails. I think when you're back in the states we should really try to hook up and chat about some opportunities for mutual profit. I am signing uo with a rep this month and about to get a big burst of PR for my Physics for Kids book.... so I'm getting a bit wiser... You've been my hero street shooter for years and I think you and I should plot....so lets try in September....Thanks again for your sweet encouragement about my work.  You're a valuable member of this community!  cheers - Lee

  3. This is my new favorite super fantasy! Well done!  You have many many interesting people shots - I love your ability to find the moment that captures an illusive intelligen e, like the subject shares a secret with you and you both convey something special..

A cut above the usual for sure!!!

Sorry if my words are clunky to describe your wonderful ability.

I am a new fan of your work. Cheers

  4. Hey ole buddie--you in the Ukraine or there parts?

Like that your using more color..I think I would like to see the human a bit more. I see what you mean by almost disappearing her, but she is the main drama here..and is being swallowed up by too much space and then over-lit window display.

I'd love to see more of her--her body contrasted to the frail hands holding the paper..anyway - you are still me favorite street magician..next to Henri Cartier Bresson, that is.

I guess you recovered from the darkness that was creeping in..Me too..I was down for about a year...climbing back up now and feeling much better. (Thought I was going to die for awhile)

I'll be moving to Pars in January. Looking for big change and big boost in inspiration.  Still would love to buy you a cup of coffee someday.

    cheers

Hi there--just cruising back through to catch up on your (as always) strikingly gorgeous collection of images. Your work is always an inspiration to me.

This shot is stunning and mind-blowing! pun intended.

I have been busy traveling with my new toy and 're-newed' resolve to spend more time shooting things I love.  You love of image is quite apparent and gives me even more inspirations.

    Cheers my friend.

This is a very sweet shot. I love the look of concern and the fact that she is hugging herself.  grabs me right away!

  5. I am concentrating on animals this summer. Everyday I will try to capture the heart of an

animal. This is inspiring for me. I am learning that if I act like an herbivore around

herbivores, they become friendlier, much faster. I love using an ultra wide lens because I

have to be within inches of the creatures. I find this exhilarating! Hope you enjoy.

    Comments welcome.

  6. Hey John, Ol buddy,

Thanks for the nudge and encouraging comments about B/W photo making. I believe you may have become the turning point for me to explore tis. I also have decided (after reading your message) that I'll give the B/w setting on my camera a try as well. Seems the 5D is capable of shooting extraordinary B/W images from the gitGo.

Anyway. I'm also set back a bit today after some arduous physical therapy sessions yesterday. They are trying to correct some C3-C4 vertebrae overlapping (subluxation),

Seems to be working but after these sessions, the small of my back seems to ache and get cranky..I guess everything is connected more than we realize sometimes.

Her is wishing we both get weller sooner....

We need to to some tandem shooting sometime.

    best to you

    Lee
