Thanks for the comments - it's always nice to hear that other photographers like the work that you are doing!
I am now in the process of deciding what my next project will be.
Earlier this year I spent several days photographing a local veterinary practice here in Scotland and I have posted the results on my blog.
Please take a look!

Cheers
Simon

I'll second Barry's recommendation above. I have a copy and have read it from cover to cover - found it very interesting plus it has some great photographs!
There is also a new book (Street Photography Now) due to be released in October this year.

Hi,
I use several different cameras and the images from each one go into a separate folder. I have added these folders as favorites in Adobe Bridge and have also added keywords to the images.
My question is... if I have 3 separate folders in bridge and each has an image with a keyword of 'tree', can I filter on that key word and have all three images (from three separate folders) displayed? As far as I can see, it will only display the image from the currently selected folder.
I used to use Foto Station and that would display all images with the same keyword no matter what folder they were in - but I have invested in PS CS4 and Bridge and do not want to use another program if I don't have to.
I have spent ages adding titles and keywords to images for a stock library. I
added the metadata in Bridge CS3. I sent the images to the library and they say
that they can only see the keywords etc if they view the image within bridge -
they cannot see the information in Photoshop, Fotostation, Photomechanic,
ACDSee etc...
Any ideas as to why?

Thanks Robert! Is that saying that for exposures over 10 seconds and below 100 seconds you need an extra 1.5 stops and an extra 2 stops for exposures over 100 seconds? Sorry, but I'm not quite sure how to read the table!
Cheers, Simon.

I managed to find some information on Efke PL25 film, but I'm not sure if it will be similar adjustments for Rollei film.
to 1/2 second - 0 stop;
1 second - 1/3 stop;
10 seconds - 2/3 stop;
100 seconds - 1.5 stops
Let me see if I understand this correctly. If I meter 2 minutes @ f22, I should expose for 6 minutes @ f22 - is that right?
To me, these seem to be rather minor adjustments (perhaps I'm just used to the long times needed for FP4+. A 2 minute exposure becomes a 17 minute exposure with FP4+). I cannot adjust my camera in 1/3 or 1/2 stops, so I guess I'll have to select the nearest one.
Cheers,
Simon.

I have recently started using this film and cannot find any information about
reciprocity failure. I find this quite startling for a slow film where it will
be very common to get fairly long exposure times!
Can anyone help?

I have managed to get the lens off the converter - it was a two person job though! I think it was due to the release on the converter being very stiff from not being used for a while, it has freed up considerably now.
Many thanks for all your help.
Cheers, Simon.

Thanks Max, but I still can't remove the lens from the converter! Is the rectangular switch with the silver button supposed to move?
Cheers, Simon

Nope - won't budge. Is the thing with the silver button on it supposed to move? How? Which way? What's the silver button for?
Can someone explain exactly how the lens is removed from the tele converter please?
Cheers,
Simon

Sorry! It's an S converter for a SQ-Ai camera. I have attached a 200mm PS lens to it and cannot get it off!

I have just received a tele-converter that I won on ebay last week. It looks to
be in excellent condition - however, I have just attached my 200mm lens to it
and I can't get the bloody thing off! There is a small rectangular thing with a
silver button on it which looks like it should release the lens, but it won't
move (it can be moved a fraction of a mm, but that's all).
How the hell do I detach the lens from the tele-converter???

I've just researched hyperfocal distance focussing and it seems like the thing to use!! Can't wait to get the camera now!
Cheers, Simon

I haven't bought the camera yet - got to sell some stuff first! I'll be using a Nikkor 90mm f8 on it. I'll have to look into hyperfocal focussing - is it difficult?

Hi, I am buying a Fotoman 612 and as I'm not very good at estimating
distances, I am looking for an external rangefinder. I have found these (link
below) on *bay and were wondering if they are any good.

Title says it all really! I want an eye cup for my MZ5N. I have seen
an FN and an FH eye cup on ebay but don't know if either will fit my
camera - can anyone help?

Another difference is that YOU can set the custom functions. The custom functions on the N had to be set by a dealer.

Thanks Steve. That's what I thought, but I just wanted it confirmed!

I have just started doing my own E6 processing - 1st film yesterday
was a success!! Am I right in assuming that I can process different
Fuji films at the same time - providing that they have been shot at
the correct speed? I have some Velvia and Provia that need
processing and it would be great if I could do them all at the same
time!!
Cheers,

I just received a Maxwell screen for my 2.8F. The difference is astounding! I ordered it on Monday and it arrived on Friday - in Scotland! That's what I call service!
-
I'm definitely interested! This is just the sort of thing I've been looking for as I've just started in LF and want to get the best from my camera.

Thanks for your support Roger and Alan! It was my understanding that the terms I used were widely understood and recognised. Anyway, due to my age, I'm not sure that I could be classed as being a member of the computer generation.
