Wow, a super eye catcher! For me this is by far the best of this series. I want it on my wall. As I look at it I wonder if it could use a little crop off the top? I am not sure.

Thanks Jonathan. As you can tell I increased the saturation of this shot quite a bit. The real moth was of a more muted color.

 

As far as the lens, I love it! It is big, heavy, expensive, and the auto focus is slow. It also spends more time on my camera than any other lens I own. I just love looking through the camera with this lens.

I like it! I think if it were mine, I might try croping a little from the sides.

Very nice! I love the plant in the background. The DOF is perfect! The only thing I am not sure of is the green cast on the mushrooms. I know there is a lot of green around to cause this but I might still change it a little.

Thanks David. I think you are correct about the larger DOF but alas I was at F22 as it was. The lens does go to F32 but I did not happen to go there.

I was going to clone out the lighter area in the upper left but I

think it might add a certain symmetry to the photo. What do you

think? Keep it or loose it?

I like it a lot. I love the attraction just right of center. I do wish for more separation from the black mat on the left side. I notice a thin green separation. I think it might work better if it was lighter.

and I used curves to crank up the contrast to bring out the red

outline of the plant.
